I am commenting on a couple of your videos because you seem like well studied and reasonable guy that can think for himself. What I discovered is taqiyya according to Sunni Muslim theologian Abu Ha-med Mohammad ibn Mohammad al-Ghazzali, one of the most highly regarded figures in the entire history of Islamic jurisprudence who ".....has been referred to by some historians as the single most influential Muslim after the Islamic prophet Muhammad.":

“Speaking is a means to achieve objectives. If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish it through lying because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not by telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible..., and obligatory to lie if the goal is obligatory. ...One should compare the bad consequences entailed by lying to those entailed by telling the truth, and if the consequences of telling the truth are more damaging, one is entitled to lie…”

An example of an "obligatory" "goal":  "Da'wah is recognized by the majority of scholars as being obligatory upon every Muslim."

Da'wah is proselytizing for the Islamic faith, so when it is not possible to achieve this goal by telling the truth (in an interfaith dialogue for example), Muslims are under obligation to lie while proselytizing.

I believe you don't personally believe that lying in the way of Allah is OK, but it wouldn't seem that extends you the right to accuse Muhammad's followers that do lie in the way of Allah of being wrong, when they are acting in accord with Ghazzali's exegesis of Islamic jurisprudence. Let alone accuse people like me, that take Ghazzali at his word, of being a "complete fraud".

I agree regarding your take on suicide to a certain extent (since Muslims even travel to foreign nations to engage in jihad in the hopes of being "martyred" in battle), but how can you suggest that terrorism is not Islamic?

Surah 8:12 I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them

Bukhari, V1 B52, #220 Allah's Apostle said, ".....I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy)....."

Surah 33:26 "Allah took down the People of the Scripture Book. He cast terror into their hearts. Some you slew, and some you made prisoners. And He made you heirs of their lands, their houses, and their goods.....

How can you deny that followers of Muhammad are called to conquer the world, as prescribed in the Quran and Hadith, and as displayed in the 150 years of Islamic imperialistic conquest of the Islamic First Jihad all the way up into France and Austria?

Surah 9.111 Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in..... the Qur'an.....

Surah 9.29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. 30 The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

Bukhari, V1 B2 #24 Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle..... then they save their lives and property from me.....

Surah 33:26 "Allah took down the People of the Scripture Book. He cast terror into their hearts. Some you slew, and some you made prisoners. And He made you heirs of their lands, their houses, and their goods, giving you a land.....

Ishaq:204/ Tabari VI:134 "'Men of the Khazraj, do you know what you are pledging yourselves to in swearing allegiance to this man.' 'Yes,' they answered. 'In swearing allegiance to him we are pledging ourselves to wage war against all mankind.'"

The historical record of Imperialistic conquest cannot be denied throughout Islam's 1400 year history. Particularly the imperialistic conquest of the first 150 years of Islamic Jihad and today during this Second Islamic Jihad. Islam's books are why Muhammad's true followers are not becoming "radicalized" as some suggest, but rather becoming more like Muhammad and his fundamental, orthodox, followers as detailed in Islam's books.

https://youtu.be/t_Qpy0mXg8Y

How do you eplain the fact that Dr. Abdul Fatah Idris, the head of Al-Azhar University, the largest, most prestigious and most highly regarded Islamic school in the world, states specifically that "fighting the infidels and breaking their spine through all possible means - are permissible according to Sharia."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HXj0hVUKyo

So were you honestly just not aware of all this, or are you engaging in taqiyyah?

“Many people accuse Muslims, Jews and Christians for the laws (punishments) of prohibiting adultery and illegal sex. They portray the evildoers as innocents and try to condemn preventing laws of stoning and lashes because it may hurt evildoers.”

This is a false accusation in regard to “punishments” in Christianity for adultery, that would give non-Christians the wrong impression, so it should be clarified. It might be a good idea to read the Gospel before being tempted to make any further accusations against it.

GOSPEL OF JOHN

John 8:4
They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6
This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Since you are advancing the punishment, do you consider yourself without sin enough to qualify you to do the stoning? What about those Muslims that do pick up stones?

Leviticus 20:10,13,27 ESV:-

“"If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

"If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."

"A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them."”

I don't know about your Christianity sect but I was talking about Christ himself. He didn't abolish the law of previous prophets and asked not to change any law.

Luke 16:18 ESV:-

"Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery"

Christianity history have punished people while the performers are sinners.

In Islam we don't perform these kind of punishments. Maybe one or two punishments during a year while preserving the killing of millions of children or destroying homes.

It's called "Proactive Preventing Law".

I did not presume to speak for Judaism so the passage you quoted from the old covenant was not germane. I quoted an exactly germane passage from the new covenant. How does the verse you quoted from Luke defend your accusation that the Gospel calls for stoning adulterers?

Christians would not stone an adulterer because we all know we are not without sin. Let alone that the Holy Spirit within us would not let us. Even an average atheist would find stoning someone repugnant through simple empathy (which they may not realize comes from God as do all other moral “instincts” that have been ingrained in humanity).

Regarding what men choose to do of their own accord, contrary to scripture, is irrelevant and there has certainly been no shortage of historical examples, even among some that would self-describe as Christians. But I’m sure you would agree that it would be flat out wrong, to judge the Gospel according to the actions of men, rather than to righteously judge the actions of men according to the Gospel. If men’s actions are found to be contrary to the Gospel they likely aren’t Christians (unless perhaps caught in a week moment doing something they know is contrary to scripture for which they would know they need to repent).

According to more than one Muslim in this forum all person has to do is simply recite the Shahadah to become a Muslim. However a person does not become a Christian until we are born again.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Once we are born again we are filled with the Holy Spirit, that guides our thoughts and actions to discern between right and wrong and good and evil.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

You see, it is Jesus Christ that guides us away from adultery, rather than the threat of violence perpetrated against us by men. Our great God can stand on his own without having to consign men to do His bidding.

General Discussion / US Gov’t Hands Out Tens of Millions to Islamist Organizations
« Last post by PeteWaldo on January 24, 2020, 04:17:04 PM »
https://clarionproject.org/govt-grants-islamist-organizations/

The U.S. government under the Trump administration has handed out tens of millions of taxpayer dollars to Islamist organizations, according to research by Sam Westrop at Middle East Forum (MEF).

As MEF noted, “between 2017 and 2018, the amount of taxpayers’ money given to organizations either influenced or controlled by Islamist activists more than tripled from $4 million to $13.5 million. Under the Obama administration, the amount given to Islamist-linked organizations averaged a mere $1.7 million each year.”

Most recently, in October 2019, the government awarded the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) with $100,000 in federal grant government money.

CAIR was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest-ever terror funding case in American history. The government officially ended all partnerships with the organization in 2009 because of CAIR’s connection to funding the Hamas terror group.

Yet, CAIR was recently the recipient of the $100,000 Department of Homeland Security grant as part of its DHS’s Nonprofit Security Grant Program.

In addition to monies given to CAIR, MEF found that the government  gave:

$57,000 to the Muslim American Society (MAS). In 2008, federal prosecutors said that “MAS was founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America. Last year, children from an MAS school recited poetry about the killing of Jews
$100,000 to Dar al-Hijrah, an extremist mosque in Virginia. A 2002 Customs and Border Protection document stated that DAH is “operating as a front for Hamas operatives in U.S.” A December 2007 document said DAH “has been linked to numerous individuals linked to terrorism financing.”  Al Qaeda leader Anwar Al-Awlaki was DAH’s imam from 2001 to 2002. Al-Awlaki’s sermons were attended by two of the 9/11 hijackers and Nidal Hassan, who later shot 13 soldiers to death in a jihadi attack at Fort Hood in 2009.
$41 million in federal grants to Islamist radicals since 2007 (not including grants given in the  last few months).

Just last week, Clarion Project reported that a new bi-partisan bill designed to protect houses of worship may inadvertently empower Islamist vigilante groups like New York’s Muslim Patrol.

"More Than 120 Members of Congress Issue Letters of Support to Leading Anti-Israel Group
Congressional support for CAIR likely to generate concern in pro-Israel community

More than 120 members of Congress privately issued letters of support to a controversial Islamic-American advocacy group known for its involvement in one of America's most prominent terrorism financing cases, according to a copy of these official communications obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), an advocacy group with deep ties to the anti-Israel movement in America, touted its support among congressional leaders during its 2019 gala conference in November in Washington, D.C. Prominent opponents of the pro-Israel community, including anti-Israel activist Linda Sarsour and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), headlined the conference.

A copy of CAIR's conference agenda, obtained by the Free Beacon and published here for the first time, includes well over 100 letters from Democratic and Republican members of Congress, all of whom expressed their support for the controversial organization. Democrats issued the majority of the letters, with only two coming from Republican members of Congress."

Zionism, Christian Zionism & anti-Zionism / What is good about Zionism?

Alexandra Markus, Israeli, living and working in Jerusalem
Updated Apr 14, 2017

Jews are the most oppressed people in history. We are fifteen million of us in a world that has many bones to pick with us for theological reasons or otherwise. We need a sanctuary where we are the majority and allowed to live our lives as we choose. We need a way to escape persecution - it's a social justice imperative.

The diaspora has always been fickle. Jews are massacred by virtually every host country every hundred years or so. The holocaust. The pogroms. The farhud (which happened before Israel's founding), and of course the 850,000 middle eastern Jews who were expelled forcibly with all their wealth confiscated. And of course all over the world throughout the centuries where hundreds or thousands of us are burned at the stake as the scapegoats for the latest national problem because cultures can't take responsibility themselves.

Arabs have 23 states. Muslims have 57. Christians have over 100. Jews have one: Israel. Let us have our tiny dot the size of New Jersey.

Opposing Zionism is hypocritical and antisemitic. Those who think only the Jews have no right to a state but everyone else does are antisemites, they might not realize it but they are. Even the Jews who are antizionist are so because they have an inferiority complex and are subconsciously worried about what would happen if Jews take up more space than many would like. Post-holocaust PTSD. They think we should lay low and continue to be subjugated minorities as long as we are alive, and they think Israel's existence pokes the bear.

People who claim to oppose all nationalism strike me as suspicious when I don't see them also opposing France and Italy’s existence but opposing Israel's. Yes, Jews are to Israel - and Judea - as Italians are to Italy. We are an ethnoreligious group, not just a religion. You can be a Jew and not believe in the religion at all if you are Jewish by blood. The religion is basically just a portable form of our culture that originated in Israel, and learning the religion means learning our history, folklore, and cultural norms.

Israel was where the genesis of our culture and religion took place. Anyone who knows anything about orthodox aka traditional Judaism knows it's basically a love affair between a people and a land. Jewish rituals are based on living in Israel, and there has been a yearning to return for all those in exile. Next year in Jerusalem has been said for centuries if not millennia by all Jews in exile.

Zionism is the first indigenous movement that resulted in the return to our native land. It's a huge empowerment for a constantly persecuted minority. We are indigenous to the land. There have only ever been Jewish states on this land - when there wasn't a Jewish state it was always a colony of some far off mother country (Babylon, Rome, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Great Britain) who don't have the connection we have. The only time Israel was a mother country and not a colony was when it was ruled by the Jews. It is our only mother country, the only land that's ever been ours. And our ties to the land are ingrained in every aspect of our religion and tradition. Our language that we've kept for all these centuries is even a Semitic language that fits in well with the region, and proves at the very least linguistic indigenousness. Meanwhile, archaeological evidence abounds of our ties to the land that run deeper and more consistently than many people think.

Zionism allows us to practice Judaism fully, Jerusalem for Jews is like Mecca is for Muslims. All our holy sites are here in Israel. Many mitzvot - commandments - can only be done in Israel. The religion is deeply tied to the land. Zionism allows Jews to practice Judaism fully and live Jewish lives, never being disadvantaged for being observant as we are everywhere else.

Jews are very happy to be here. Let us have our happy place where we can be ourselves without fear. Please. It's a tiny piece of land but it means the world to us.

As a Jew who made Aliyah - or chose to move here (Aliyah means elevation, or moving up) - there is no better feeling than being among my own, in a culture that feels like a giant family and looks after one another. I also feel like my soul has found its source, a feeling that is so special and incredible for me that I won't get anywhere else because of the special connection we have to this land. It's hard to explain but it's so saturated with meaning for me.
