The 19th century brought us

Mary Baker Eddy - Christian Science
Joseph Smith - LDS Mormon
Charles Taze Russell - Jehovah's Witness
William Miller - Millerites associated into SDA
Ellen White - SDA Seventh Day Adventists
John Nelson Darby - dispensationalism futurism (Dr. Harry Ironside on futurism)
Madame Blavatsky - Theosophical Society - satanist acquaintence of Westcott and Hort
Westcott and Hort - wrote corrupt 19th century minority Greek text that is the basis of the majority of modern bible versions.
United and Oneness Pentecostal Church - several individuals 19th and 20th century
Pope Pius IX - 1854 dogma of the "immaculate conception"

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Certainly not limited to the 19th century.

Ribera - 16th century - futurist doctrine creator and seed for Darby's doctrine
Alcazar - 17th century - preterist doctrine
Manuel de Lacunza - 18th century - middle man between Ribera and Darby

Here's a summary of Alcazar - Ribera - de Lacunza - Darby.

Constantine - 3rd-4th century - Roman church - For those in the bondage of the Roman church it is absolutely essential that husbands and fathers understand the 13th century dogma of auricular confession. Your family's spirutual future is at stake.

2Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him].

My understanding is that SDA consider the papacy, and/or Roman Church to be antichrist.
Which of the verses that discuss the term antichrist, suggest this?

A good book to study on this subject is the book of Daniel in the Old Testament. Also the book of Revelation. There are several very good books on the market to study this as well. "God Cares" by Maxwell, part 1 is on Daniel, part 2 is on Revelation. Also, Revelation by Stefanovic (?) is very informative on Adventist views of Prophecy, the Catholic Church, and the Anti-Christ.

Blessings!

Hi Andrew and welcome to the forum! :)

I am interested to know how you reconcile SDA doctrine with the 4 verses that contain the term "antichrist"?
You can reply on the thread at the following link if you like.

Most of the Christians that post in here do understand prophecy through the traditional continuous-historic context, and it's day-year "language", as do SDA.

But as further detailed in this free online book.
