Title: 4 - "Times of the Gentiles" in Jerusalem fulfilled
Post by: Peter on June 13, 2008, 07:23:51 PM
Luke 21:24  And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

What is meant by Jerusalem being "trodden down" by the Gentiles, and how were these "times of the Gentiles" in Jerusalem, fulfilled?

Gentiles ruled before and after 70AD so is it unreasonable to suggest that the times of the gentiles were fulfilled then, particularly since the Romans whacked another 750,000 Jews only about 40 years later in the Bar Kochba revolt? Islam, Crusades, British mandate, ALL GENTILE until the Jews regained control of Jerusalem again in 1967.
