Let's look at a few verses from Old Testament prophecies
that were written hundreds of years before Jesus was made manifest to us. You can click on the verse number to study it in context:
Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.That verse reads more like a newspaper headline. What about the people gathered together against Jerusalem?
Zec 12:8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David [shall be] as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. 9And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for [his] only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn.
Who is destroyed? The nations that come against Jerusalem.
Who is coming against the Jews, and against Jesus' shed blood today? The same nations. The Islamic empire beast.
http://islamchristianforum.com/index.php?topic=112.0We can see the Spirit of grace pouring upon the house of David today, as there is great revival among the Jews in Jerusalem, with many of them coming to realize that Jesus Christ is indeed their Messiah, their promised Son.
The following prophecy was penned over 500 years before Christ:
Zechariah 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.Flesh consume away "
while they stand upon their feet". What kind of plague is that? Might it hearken to a nuclear blast zone?
Joel 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.What does

Is it that difficult to see a nuclear blast described in the last two verses above? That is some REAL end-time prophecy, not only of the end, but proving Jesus crucifixion, hundreds of years in advance, not that phony baloney
mythology in the Quran about a one-eyed antichrist bogeyman nonsense.
As we watch events unfold in the Middle East, is it hard to imagine we are on the verge of Jesus Christ's return and the end of all things?

The prophet Daniel predicted the Jews restoration to their land in 1948, and to their city in 1967, right to the year! And he gave us this prophecy over 2500 years in advance!
