I know from personal experience that Calvary Chapel is a body of believers with a real heart for the Lord. However like much of the church they hold a modern approach to Christian eschatology, or end-time doctrine, that was popularized in the 20th century. And just as those indoctrinated into the other modern approach of partial-preterism,
members are necessarily precluded from even considering, that Muhammad could be THE false prophet of the book of Revelation and his Islamic kingdom "beast" the final foe of God's people.
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/the_beast.htmThis even though 1/4 of mankind in the world today is required to
DISbelieve that Christ was crucified and thus
REJECT His shed blood, and
DENY and blaspheme the Son of God,
as articles of their faith in Muhammad alone.
http://www.falseprophetmuhammad.com/muhammad_islam_in_bible_prophecy.htm#the_conflictHowever unlike partial-preterists at least futurists recognize the restoration of Jews to their/our covenant land as being of the Lord, just as did those great men of God of the Reformation through Bible prophecy, centuries before that restoration ever began to take place.
http://www.zionismchristian.com/zionism_in_christianity.htmNow that Muslims in more and more Islamic countries are calling for solidarity with the Jihad of the Islamic State Caliphate, while it beheads and crucifies Christian children that refuse to convert, and sells them into sexual slavery as Muhammad did and as Islam has for 1400 years, I would hope that at least a few everyday saints are at least beginning, to wonder what the role of Islam in Bible prophecy may be.
http://www.falseprophetmuhammad.com/muhammad_islam_in_bible_prophecy.htmhttp://www.falseprophetmuhammad.com/jihad_islamic_terrorism.htmWe invite the laity of Calvary Chapel to join us
in simply considering, the third, and
only traditional approach to Bible prophecy of Christian historicism, that was all but lost over the last century even as it was the approach to prophecy of the Christian era church including those great men of God of the Reformation. After all, Calvary Chapel folks are all historicists, when it comes to their approach Old Testament prophecy. But have you ever wondered what a
uniform approach to
all Bible prophecy might reveal?
http://www.christianeschatology.com/historicism.htmSince Jesus IS truth, wouldn't the best way we can follow Him be by seeking out and following the truth, wherever it may lead us?
Should Christians harbor any fear of truth, even if it may be inconsistent with pop-eschatology we have been taught to believe?
Shouldn't we do everything in our power to be as Berean spirited as possible, and avoid the error of making the word of God of none effect, through traditions we have been taught?
Mar 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
Let's take this journey together while prayerfully asking Jesus Christ to lead us all in all truth. We are particularly interested in participation by Calvary Chapel pastors, that are experienced specifically in the area of eschatology, at Calvary Chapel Churches or anywhere else. All that is important is for us all to have the ability to simply ask, "what if the Lord had meant......", like Matthew Henry, Thieleman van Braght, and so many of those great men of God before us did. So for openers, what if we begin by pondering "what if" Hebrew scholars are correct, regarding an antiquated Hebrew idiom?
