The Crucifixion, Death & Resurrection of the Messiah & Islam
« on: October 11, 2012, 08:36:58 AM »
I'm afraid that we Christians may sometimes do those, who follow Muhammad alone, a bit of a disservice by entertaining subjects that they introduce as diversions. Prompting us to try to explain to them the nuances of the Spirit of God that they cannot be expected to understand.....

1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

.....particularly when their effort is placed, not in understanding what to believe, but rather in how to further DISbelieve the whole subject of the Gospel, DENY the Son of God, and REJECT the blood of the Lamb of God that would save them. This effort because these are articles of their faith in Muhammad alone, through his stand-alone, heavily abrogated, 23 year, 7th century record.

So desperate are we to help Muhammad's followers overcome his cult, that we are willing to encourage them even by engaging in the futility of discussing tangents, that move us away from what we are called to do.

1Cr 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

1Cr 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Most of them likely already know that the whole subject of the Gospel is the crucifixion, death and resurrection of our Messiah, who saves all from sin who have faith in His shed blood, so are we actually doing them a disservice to discuss any other subjects beyond this irreconcilable point when they are required to DISbelieve the whole subject of the Gospel as an article of their faith in Muhammad alone?

Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

The Messiah was sent as a sacrifice because that's how much God loved us:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Messiah was Crucified, died and was resurrected, just as the Messiah Himself prophesied:

Matthew 20:17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, 18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, 19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify [him]: and the third day he shall rise again.

Matthew 16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Fulfilling Old Testament prophecy, that was penned so many hundreds of years before Jesus was made manifest, and even before crucifixion was ever invented:

Psalms 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I may tell all my bones: they look [and] stare upon me. 18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Matthew 27:35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

Muhammad's followers have been duped by Satan into believing they "respect" Jesus as a prophet, even as they blaspheme Him, by rejecting His own prophecies. They have been duped into parroting that they believe IN Jesus, because they believe Jesus existed, but then so do most secular historians and even atheists that also deny the whole purpose of the Messiah. Of course the only way to believe IN Jesus is to have faith in His shed blood that saves all from sin, who have faith in that sacrifice of the Son of God. As foreshadowed by Abraham and his willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac because of his unbending faith in God.

Since Muhammad proclaimed the exact opposite, of this whole subject of the Gospel, rather than come to terms with that fact Muhammad's followers will generally run and hide, by trying to divert the conversation with subjects like the deity of Christ. I don't imagine it is even necessary for a person to have an understanding of the deity of Christ, to be saved, but absolutely necessary is faith in the shed blood of the Son of God.

Muhammad's followers scour the internet for the words of heretics, agnostics and other Godless people, as well as deceiving, lying, Greek sophist styled antichrist entertainers like Ahmed Deedat, in efforts to find comforting words to tickle their ears.

We've all seen the obfuscation and departure from the subject of the Gospel over and over in this forum.
Their apparent conviction may serve as a hopeful sign to we Christians.
They put all that effort into searching the internet for blasphemy to parrot, even as they apparently don't spend even a few minutes, investigating the nonexistent historical and archaeological record of Mecca prior to the 4th century AD, when it was first settled by pagan immigrants from Yemen.

The tragic fact is that they must reject our Savior Jesus Christ, because THE false prophet Muhammad proclaimed the exact opposite, of the whole subject of the Gospel.

Surah 4:157 That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

Yet there has not been a single Christian, throughout the last nearly 2,000 years, that has had any doubt whatsoever regarding the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ - since that's the whole subject of the Gospel! Anyone who denied it simply wouldn't be a Christian. Yet when we ask Muhammad's followers who did die on the cross, we get nearly as many answers as followers of Muhammad that we ask. In other words they are, just as Muhammad foolishly described Christians, "full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow". Muhammad's followers are filled with complete resolve to DISbelieve the whole subject of the Gospel. Islam to the Gospel as the negative is to a photograph. Yet they somehow can't recognize Satan's hand in that.

They even try to argue against verses like:

1John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

and Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

As if they were exceptions that stood in isolation, because they choose to remain in abject ignorance to the hundreds of verses that support God the Father, His Spirit and Son, a few of which are included in the panels that follow.

Muhammad even invoking the Quraish pagan's deity "Allah's" curse on God's people, like some sort of a voodoo incantation:

Surah 9.29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. 30 The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

Indeed Islam is the perfect embodiment of the spirit of antichrist:

Sura 19:88 They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!" 89 Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!

But it isn't about what Christians say, but what the Word of God says:

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].

Muhammad's followers pursue the doctrinal term "trinity" (which is not found in scripture), rather than simply trying to understand what that term describes, as revealed through the verses that follow.

How is it that they can't see that for them to believe that confessing that Jesus is the Son of God, constituting a sin ("shirk") worse than mass murder or child rape in Muhammad's cult, is a concept that comes directly out of the pit of hell?

1Jo 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

How is it that they don't understand why Muhammad would prohibit them from making distinctions among "messengers", since they believe Jesus is the only person ever born of a virgin by the direct will of God, is sinless, and was lifted bodily to heaven.
While their own books reveal Muhammad as an imperialistic, mass murdering, child doing, female prisoner abusing, self-admitted terrorist, and thief, whose corpse still lies rotting it its grave?

Satan's people are called to destroy the truth, and those that hold it, until all people of the world parrot Muhammad's blasphemy against the one true God of the scriptures, while suggesting that all of YHWH's prophets and witnesses are false by proclaiming Muhammad and his lies to be true:

Bukhari, V1 B2 #24 Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then they save their lives an property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah."

Obviously pure blasphemy for a Christian to testify to. The bottom line i that the only way to believe IN Jesus is to believe He is the Son of God who was crucified, died and was resurrected, to save all from sin who have faith in His shed blood.

Jesus proclaimed His Father, while Muhammad's followers proclaim Jesus to be fatherless:

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

Matthew 11:26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and [he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].

Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Matthew 15:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Matthew 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but [it shall be given to them] for whom it is prepared of my Father.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Matthew 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Matthew 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou [wilt].

Matthew 26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Matthew 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Mark 13:32 But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things [are] possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Luke 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and [in his] Father's, and of the holy angels.

Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and [he] to whom the Son will reveal [him].

Luke 22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

John 2:16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

John 3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

John 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

John 5:20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

John 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth [them]; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

John 5:23 That all [men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

John 5:36 But I have greater witness than [that] of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

John 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

John 5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is [one] that accuseth you, [even] Moses, in whom ye trust.

John 6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

John 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

John 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

John 8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

John 8:18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

John 8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

John 8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

John 8:49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.

John 8:54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

John 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

John 10:29 My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father's hand.

John 10:30 I and [my] Father are one.

John 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

John 10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

John 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father [is] in me, and I in him.

John 11:41 Then they took away the stone [from the place] where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up [his] eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

John 12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will [my] Father honour.

John 12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

John 12:28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, [saying], I have both glorified [it], and will glorify [it] again.

John 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

John 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

John 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

John 14:11 Believe me that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

John 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come [again] unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

John 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

John 15:23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

John 15:24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

John 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

John 16:15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you.

John 16:16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

John 16:17 Then said [some] of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [it] you.

John 16:25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

John 16:26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

John 16:27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

John 16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

John 16:32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

John 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we [are].

John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

John 17:25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

John 18:11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and [to] my God, and your God.

John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as [my] Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Not just another son of God:

Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Old Testament Promised Son:

Isaiah 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Fulfilled:

Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

OT Prophecy:

Sura 15.29: "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."

Even though Muslims believe that their "Allah" has a spirit, some accuse Christians of polytheism, for believing the same about Yahweh as Jews also do.

The term "spirit" is used 505 times in the KJV most of which discuss God's Spirit and how it is manifest, or revealed, to mankind.
For example here we find God's Spirit manifest in creation:

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of  God moved upon the face of the waters

In this verse we begin to understand how God's Spirit may be imparted into some men

Exodus 31:3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

Spirit of God

Old Testament

Exodus 28:3 And thou shalt speak unto all [that are] wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit  of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
Exd 31:3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
Exd 35:31 And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;
Num 24:2 And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding [in his tents] according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

1Sa 19:20 And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing [as] appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
1Sa 19:23 And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
2Ch 15:1 And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
2Ch 24:20 And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
Job 27:3 All the while my breath [is] in me, and the spirit of God [is] in my nostrils;
Job 33:4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
Eze 11:24 Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

1Cr 7:40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.
1Cr 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
1Jo 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

Holy Spirit

Isa 63:11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, [and] his people, [saying], Where [is] he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where [is] he that put his holy Spirit within him?
New Testament
Luk 11:13    If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Eph 1:13    In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Eph 4:30    And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
1Th 4:8    He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

An additional translation found only in the King James Version for the Spirit of God. The "Holy Ghost" is the Spirit of God in Jesus name. All other versions use the term "Holy Spirit" in it's place. The reasons for the KJV using "Ghost" for Spirit is a fun Google study.
One reason may have been an effort to distinguish the difference between God's Spirit in a regenerate, but still blind to the Gospel Jew, and God's Spirit imparted to Christians in Jesus name.

1Cr 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy  Ghost.

Re: The Crucifixion, Death & Resurrection of the Messiah & Islam
« Reply #4 on: October 12, 2012, 07:43:25 AM »
When I mentioned that Muhammad's followers will come up with nearly as many answers as Muslims that you ask, I wasn't exaggerating. They are as a matter of fact as Muhammad described: "those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow". Here are a few accounts I received when I asked "who did die on the cross", in Muslim forums:

"I believe that a true disciple of Jesus took up the cross and died for him knowing that Jesus would raise him again from the dead. I also believe that the true disciple was not one of the twelve, was not even a Jew but was in fact a Gentile."

"If I recall correctly, Narrations state that There was a guy who used to oppress Jesus PBUH So Allah turned the guy into His Likeness (When exactly I don't remember Maybe during the time of carrying the cross maybe before his capture...) and the guy was executed instead of Jesus PBUH so it was made to appear that Jesus PBUH was but he wasn't."

"The disciple (JUDAS) Who betrayed him was hanged, (God changed him to the shape of Jesus), and before they take him to court, he keep saying I am not Jesus but the soldiers beat him so much until he confess to be Jesus, same as the American soldiers do in Iraq war."

From some of their more official sources that were presented.

"al-Baydawi said (p. 135) - "A group of Jews cursed Christ and his mother. He invoked evil on them and, may He be exalted, turned them into monkeys and swine. The Jews gathered together to kill him, but God, may He be exalted, informed him (Jesus) that He was going to lift him up to heaven. Thus, (Jesus) said to his companions, `Who would like to have my likeness cast on him and be killed and crucified, then enter the paradise?' One of them volunteered (to do so) and God cast on him Christ's likeness. He was then arrested, crucified and killed. It is also said that (the crucified one) was a traitor who went with the mob to guide them to Christ (he meant Judas), thus God cast on him the likeness of Jesus and he was arrested, crucified and killed."

Qurtubi - "While explaining the words of the Qur'an: (but they were deluded by resemblance), master exegete, Dahhak says: It so transpired that, following the intention of Jews to kill Sayyidna 'Isa (A.S) his disciples assembled at a given place. Sayyidna 'Isa (A.S) joined them there. It was Iblis who gave the address of Sayyidna 'Isa (A.S) to the execution squad standing ready for the mission. Four thousand men surrounded the suspected house. Sayyidna 'Isa (A.S) said to his disciples: 'Is one of you willing to go out and be killed and then be in Paradise with me?' One of them offered to do so. Sayyidna 'Isa (A.S) gave him his shirt and head-cover. Then, cast on him was the resemblance of Jesus and as soon as he came out, the Jews, believing him to be Jesus, caught him and crucified him, and Sayyidna 'Isa (A.S) was lifted.

Mazhari - "According to some reports, the Jews had sent a person known to Arabs as Teetlanoos to kill Sayyidna 'Isa (A.S). He did not find Sayyidna 'Isa (A.S) in the house for he was already lifted by Allah towards Himself. So, when this person came out of the house, he had been made to resemble the looks of Sayyidna 'Isa (A.S). The Jews took him to be Sayyidna 'Isa (A.S). Thus, they took away their own man and killed him."

From the person who posted the last two accounts: "There is room for whichever of the situations came to pass - the Holy Qur'an has not determined any particular situation. Therefore, Allah alone knows what really happened."

Muslims will often lazily invoke that phrase, rather than seek out truth.

"...the quran says, we removed Isa (AS), and the order became confusing to them, but they did not kill Isa (AS).
A group of soldiers went into his hiding place and they brought out a person that looked exactly like him, even talked like him. And he keep telling them that they are mistaken, but they would not believe him. Now who was the substitute? Some say he was one of the soldiers, some say he Might have been Judas. All we know is he was not ISA (AS)."

That's 1.5 billion people resolved in DISbelief regarding the whole subject of the Gospel. Placing their faith in what NOT to believe, as an article of their faith in Muhammad alone. In other words, as an article of their faith in Satan, "the opposer".

"A Muslim believes what Allah told in the Quran that He raised Jesus unto Himself and that they didn't crucify nor kill him for sure, but so it appeared to them.
This is the main point, the rest are details ... some scholars said another person was on the cross, may be the one who betrayed Jesus. But we know that God had a plan and didn't allow them to kill Jesus Peace be upon him."

We can see Muhammad's followers are not interested in WHO WAS crucified, because a spirit fills them with complete resolve, ONLY as to SPECIFICALLY what to DISbelieve. The most important thing to them, at all costs, is to DENY the crucifixion, death and resurrection of the Messiah.

Muhammad's denial is the EXACT OPPOSITE of the WHOLE SUBJECT of the Gospel.

Over the last nearly 2,000 years there has never been a single CHRISTIAN - a follower of Christ Jesus the sinless Messiah - that has denied the crucifixion, death and resurrection of the Lamb of God, since the Messiah's sacrifice and our faith in His shed blood, is the source of our salvation and the WHOLE SUBJECT of the Gospel. Nor is there a sect of Judaism that does not believe a man named Jesus - Yeshua - was killed in the first century. While Christians and Jews are in complete resolve as to WHO WAS killed, we can see from the Muslim's accounts above that "...those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow...".

Here's another.....

"Jesus himself was ..... watching soldiers hanging the WRONG MAN and he was Laughing. If the one on the Cross was Jesus, then why was he laughing for pain?"

Satan fills them with complete resolve to only believe and proclaim WHO DIDN'T die on the cross! Isn't that amazing? This is one of the reasons I say that Islam is to Christianity as the negative is to a photograph. Far from a religion, it is a specifically antichrist cult, that follows Muhammad alone. The perfect opposite of the God of the bible.

"

"Wherefore he did not himself suffer death, but Simon, a certain man of Cyrene, being compelled, bore the cross in his stead; so that this latter being transfigured by him, that he might be thought to be Jesus, was crucified, through ignorance and error, while Jesus himself received the form of Simon, and, standing by, laughed at them."

Does that read like the rest of the accounts above? It should. That is a quote from Basilides, a follower of the 1st century gnostic Simon Magus, or "Simon the Sorcerer", who was a first century magician. He is written of in the Gospel (also where the term "simony" comes from), and was dubbed by the early church fathers as the "father of heresies". "Simon the Magician" claimed that it only appeared that Jesus was crucified.

"".....and that thus he was thought to have suffered in Judæa, when he had not suffered."

He was followed by several parrots, and eventually the doctrine of Simonianism was embraced by the 2nd century occult cult of the Ebionites.

From his 20 year full-time investigation, first language Arabic Dr. Rafat Amari informs that Muhammad's first wife Khadijah's cousin Waraqa bin Naufal was an occult Ebionite priest. That's who Khadijah sent Muhammad to when he lapsed into his suicidal funk, from his "revelations" having dried up.

More on the thread devoted to Simon Magus and this connection.

The trailer of that amateurish video that Muslims are up in arms about, portrays Waraqa bin Naufal taking Khadijah aside, and offering to help author the Quran.
