The author at Answering-Christianity suggests that he invites challenges, but he will not be able to accept one that challenges him to present historical or archaeological evidence that suggests that Mecca ever existed prior to the 4th century AD, when Arabian pagan's from Yemen initially settled the area.
http://www.religionresearchinstitute.org/mecca/construction.htm

At least no other followers of Muhammad have been able to find present evidence of a pre-4th century Mecca, simply because there isn't any. Of course we will hopefully be spared repetition of the typical few false presumptions that are explored at the following link, let alone their being presented as if a handful of anecdotes, could somehow take the place of a 4500 year pre-4th century historical and archaeological record of Mecca.
http://www.historyofmecca.com/historical_claims.htm

Of course disqualifying out of hand the entirely UNhistorical Islamic so-called "tradition" regarding any pre-4th century Mecca, that was all created and put to the pen in the 7th to 10th centuries AD without reference to any actual historical record that preceded the 6th century AD. So please present EVIDENCE of a pre-4th century Mecca, like the very good historical and archaeological evidence we have for other ancient Arabian towns, both north and south of where Mecca was eventually established in the 4th century AD.

Or like the historical and archaeological evidence we have for THE Holy Land of the prophets and patriarchs, that includes a million artifacts - just on display!

When engaging the "children of the flesh", it may be most productive to begin with an appeal to the flesh and the tangible things of this world, rather than the things of the Spirit and the kingdom of God which they are unable to discern. There is perhaps no greater testament on the internet to the truth of the following verse than Answering-Christianity.com
http://www.petewaldo.com/children_flesh.htm

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

No surprise that their site is as much or more about engaging in unspeakable blasphemy against the one true God YHWH, as He revealed Himself through all of His prophets and witnesses in His 1600 year record to mankind, that His people have followed through two covenants for 3500 years. Indeed Answering-Christianity is an exercise in effort to misunderstand the scriptures of the one true God, rather than defending the opposite that they worship, in the false prophet Muhammad and his alter-ego - or the Arabian pagan's - "Allah". That is, when their site isn't wasting words on individual personalities.

So let's consider the example of the third item down on the author's web page, because it involves physical things, like buildings, geography and travel.

"Mecca, Bacca and Paran:

Let me paste for you the following Verses from the Bible and the Noble Quran:

"Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.  Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.  (From the NIV Bible, Psalms 84:5-6)"

"The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings: In it are signs manifest; (for example) the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith Allah stands not in need of any of his creatures.  (The Noble Quran, 3:96-97)"

"And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.  And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.   And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.  And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.  (From the NIV Bible, Genesis 21:17-21)""

Mecca, Bacca and Paran:

Let me paste for you the following Verses from the Bible and the Noble Quran:

"Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.  Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.  (From the NIV Bible, Psalms 84:5-6)"

Besides apparently not even knowing what version he was quoting from, do we have to wonder why he left out the very next verse, from the same King James Version?

84:7 They go from strength to strength, [every one of them] in Zion appeareth before God.

Not that it matters what version is being quoted, since they all indicate the pilgrimage was to Zion. So masters of deception like Ahmed Deedat, his self-described disciple "Dr." Zakir Naik and other dissimulators like Yusuf Estes - all of whom deceive their unsuspecting and trusting Bible-ignorant and geography-challenged adoring minions with this false notion - leave out the only verse that is germane to the location of the pilgrimage described, which is IN ZION! In Jerusalem, where YHWH had His people build His temple, on the temple mount that still stands today. The term for this brand of intentional omission, or concealing the truth while pretending to present it, is "dissimulation". Which is another way of saying that Muhammad's followers lie in the way of their "Allah". This is a near universal practice when Muhammad's followers present this subject, from their most famous, to their least.

But all a person with the barest hint of cognitive function needs to do, is apply a little common sense to the immovable, physical, geography, regarding the preposterous claim that Psalms 84 is about the Quraish's Kaaba in Mecca. Are we really expected to believe that YHWH's people turned their backs on their temple that YHWH had them build in Jerusalem, to wander across 1400 kilometers of unexplored, untraveled, uncharted, harsh, dry, waterless, barren desert wasteland, over a thousand years before the historical record informs us a caravan route was established along the Red Sea in Arabia, in order to visit a town in the SW Arabian desert that was not initially settled until 2,000 years later in the 4th century AD? And this presumably so that YHWHs people could march around the Quraish pagan's black stone idol and 5th-century Kaaba seven times, only to wander the 1400 kilometers back to their home in Jerusalem where their own temple was located!

Doesn't that make about as much demographic and geographical sense, as believing that Abraham, Hagar or Ishmael made the same 1400 kilometer trip across that barren desert, with Abraham dropping them off in an unpopulated desert wasteland, only to wander the 1400 kilometers back home?
http://www.historyofmecca.com/geography_mecca_islam.htm#zamzam

The well that the scriptures inform us the Lord showed to Hagar, was obviously where the scriptures inform us she was wandering, which was in the "Wilderness of Beersheba". Which of course makes perfect geographical sense since Beersheba was just south of Abraham's home in Hebron which is just south of Jerusalem. Does it really make sense to the guys at Answering-Christianity that Hagar would have crossed 1400 kilometers of harsh, barren, untraveled, unexplored, waterless desert on a single waterskin, before getting a drink from the well of Zamzam in Mecca?

Below is the Temple Mount on which the ONE true God YHWH had His people build His temple.

On which location do you think the one true God would have His people build His temple? On Mt. Moraiah in THE Holy Land of the prophets and patriarchs, or 2,000 years later, and 1400 kilometers away from THE Holy Land in the SW Arabian desert, for pagan Arabian moon, sun, star and jinn-devil worship?
http://www.petewaldo.com/hajj___umrah.htm#al_safa_al_marwah

To march around the Quraish pagan's black stone idol and crude unsymmetrical Kaaba that the Arabian pagans cobbled together, that was periodically inundated with urban floodwater, that is always laced with human sewage.
http://www.petewaldo.com/hajj___umrah.htm#kaaba

Sahih Muslim Book 007, Number 3078: 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah's Messenger may peace be upon him) said to me: Had your people not been unbelievers in the recent past (had they not quite recently accepted Islam), I would have demolished the Ka'ba and would have rebuilt it on the foundation (laid) by Ibrahim; for when the Quraish had built the Ka'ba, they reduced its (area), and I would also have built (a door) in the rear.

How can a person's mind come to imagine that YHWH's people, instead of going on pilgrimage to their own temple that YHWH had them build on the temple mount IN ZION, turned their back on their temple to wander across 1400 kilometers of unexplored, untraveled, harsh, dry, waterless, barren desert wasteland, over a thousand years before the historical record informs us a caravan route was established along the Red Sea in Arabia, in order to visit a town in the SW Arabian desert that was not settled until 2,000 years later. And then even if Mecca had existed - which it didn't - only to march around the pagan's kaaba and black stone idol, to then wander the 1400 kilometers across dry desert back up to their own temple, in THE Holy Land of the prophets and patriarchs.

Not surprisingly Muhammad's followers and the Arabian pagans circumambulated the Kaaba shoulder to shoulder right up until the year before Muhammad's last Hajj:
http://www.petewaldo.com/hajj_umrah.htm#twaf

Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 26, Number 689: Narrated Abu Huraira: In the year prior to the last Hajj of the Prophet when Allahs Apostle made Abu Bakr the leader of the pilgrims, the latter (Abu Bakr) sent me in the company of a group of people to make a public announcement: 'No pagan is allowed to perform Hajj after this year, and no naked person is allowed to perform Tawaf of the Kaba.'

Just imagine a bunch of naked Muslims and pagans marching around the Kaaba. Mind you this was in the 7th century AD, which was about 700 years after an enterprising Greek had invented the first analog computer. And we're supposed to believe that Muhammad's followers brought other than ignorance, illiteracy, murder, mayhem and misery to wherever they went?
