Excellent site, with tons of versions, that are particularly handy when a heterodox (
delusional peace desiring "hypocrite") Muslim tries to make the claim that you are quoting from a bad translation:

http://www.thequran.com/ReadUnderstanding the chronological order of the Quran is important since we can more clearly see Mohammed's recitations change from his earlier more peaceful ones, to his later violent ones after he began to spread Islam with the sword calling Muslims to slaughter non-muslims,
as they have done for the last 1400 years.
Sura 8.67
It is not for any prophet to have captives until he hath made slaughter in the land. Ye desire the lure of this world and Allah desireth (for you) the Hereafter, and Allah is Mighty, Wise. It is also important to understand, that when sorting out the many contradictions in the Quran, the later violent suras abrogate any pretense of peace one may find in the earlier suras.
http://islamchristianforum.com/index.php?topic=116.0This "submitters" site agrees with the chronological order but the wikiislam site could have lifted it from their site:
http://www.masjidtucson.org/quran/miracle/revelationorder.htmlThey also offer an example of the hodgepodge within individual suras themselves.
"Not only was the order of revelations of the suras (chapters) different than their order in the Quran, but also the majority of the suras were not revealed as a complete unit at once. For example, the first revelation was Sura 96, Verses 1-4, the second revelation was part of Sura 68." etc. etc.
If someone disputes the chronological order presented in these sites, please post the order they found, on this thread.
"The Quran is not in chronological order, but arranged roughly longest surah (chapter) to the shortest.
The following lists the chronological (or revelational) order of revelation of the Quran."
