The Seed of Ishmael - the Children of the Flesh

It has always fascinated me that so many people in the world today proudly believe and proclaim themselves to be of the seed of Ishmael.

Romans 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, [are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these [are] not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Galatians 4:22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he [who was] of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman [was] by promise. 24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. 26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Genesis 21:3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.
8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the [same] day that Isaac was weaned. 9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking. 10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, [even] with Isaac. 11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son. 12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called. 13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he [is] thy seed. 14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave [it] unto Hagar, putting [it] on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

The seed of Ishmael today, are just as prophesied.

Genesis 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, [Hagar] Behold, thou [art] with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand [will be] against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

Surah 9.29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day.....(even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they....feel themselves subdued.

Bukhari B2 #24 Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle....."

Sura 8:12 I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them

Surah 9.111...they fight in His cause, and slay...a promise binding on Him in...the Qur'an

What could make bondage to the flesh more apparent than praying toward the Quraish pagan's black stone idol in Mecca five times a day, let alone adopted and adapted Quraish pagan moon, sun, star and jinn devil worship rituals, of the Hajj and Umrah?

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Indeed the pagans and Muslims performed these rituals side by side up until the year before Muhammad's last Hajj when the pagans were kicked out of their own rituals.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 26, Number 689: Narrated Abu Huraira: In the year prior to the last Hajj of the Prophet when Allahs Apostle made Abu Bakr the leader of the pilgrims, the latter (Abu Bakr) sent me in the company of a group of people to make a public announcement: 'No pagan is allowed to perform Hajj after this year, and no naked person is allowed to perform Tawaf of the Kaba.'

The 12 tribes of Ishmael inhabited a region:
Genesis 25:18 "... from Havilah unto Shur, that [is] before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria..."



Not surprising since there was water and pasture in the fertile crescent, to accommodate the flocks that the Ishmaelites were noted for.



The alternative to their south:



The Ishmaelites were obviously never within 1,000 KM of where Mecca was eventually settled in the 4th century AD, by pagan immigrants from Yemen (Mecca remains one of the driest places that even Arabia has to offer). It is interesting to note that image is the kind of terrain that Hagar and Ishmael would have had to cross 1200 kilometers of, on their way to get a drink of water from the well of zamzam in Mecca, according to Islamic fiction that was all created and put to the pen in the 7th-10th centuries AD! All created from thin air, over 2,000 years after the fact, without reference to any actual historical record that preceded the 5th century AD.

The other day I was contemplating Indonesian and other Muslims, that live outside of the cradle of Islam, that are not Arabs which are recognized as possibly being of the seed of Ishmael since the Ishmaelites were dispersed throughout northern Arabia toward Assyria in the fertile crescent.



Then it struck me that because Indonesian Muslims also follow Muhammad alone, along with the seed of Ishmael, that Indonesian and other non-Arab Muslims are effectively of the seed of Ishmael - the children of the flesh - by inheritance. They are even obligated to travel to Mecca and march around the Quraish's kaaba and kiss the Quraish pagan's black stone idol.

So it's perhaps not so unlike the one true God YHWH's people are of the seed of Isaac - the children of promise - by inheritance.

Indeed Muhammad himself was not likely of the seed of Ishmael, but more likely a Hamite or Cushite, and himself of the seed of Ishmael perhaps also only by inheritance.
