The famous Islamic deceiver and Greek sophist styled entertainer, Ahmed Deedat, declared that the First Epistle of John confirms Mohammed.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_lM0d5T5hQIs this true?
Have you ever read the First Epistle of John for yourself?
Here is a link directly to John's First Epistle, from the same bible version that Deedat quotes from (KJV).
I even highlighted some of the more germane verses for a quick overview:
http://www.islamandthetruth.com/first_epistle_john.htmWhere did Deedat get his verse anyway?
Here's his same phony verse in another venue:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYcDZM8Hmg0In the U-Tube Mr. Deedat is asked "...can you vouch for the fact that Mohammed was not antichrist".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYcDZM8Hmg0Since Mr. Deedat quoted 1John 4:1 straight out of the King James Version of the Holy Bible almost flawlessly, it is difficult to imagine that he could misquote the very next verse so appallingly incorrectly, BY ACCIDENT.
He misquotes 1 John 4:2 which reads:
1John 4:2
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:He borrowed
"...
spirit that confesseth..." and "...
is of God:"
And then exchanged part of 1John 2:22:
1Jo 2:22
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.Borrowing
"...
that Jesus is the Christ..."
Adding his "The", Mr. Deedat's hybrid phony creation then became:
"The spirit that confesseth that Jesus is the Christ is of God:"
Mr. Deedat then goes on to suggest that the verse he fabricated is a "test" for antichrist, but it is in fact a false test, built on a false version of God's Holy Word.
This was done on other occasions in other venues so it was NO mistake. He was also told by many in the church that his teachings were preposterous, but he simply continued to march down his merry path to perdition, leading his bible-ignorant, adoring, applauding minions, right along with himself.
In his effort to advance an illusion that Islam is not antichrist, Mr. Deedat's combining and confusing snippets of these two separate verses resulted in obscuring the sad truth, that Islam is indeed antichrist.
What verses DO we get when we enter "that Jesus is the Christ" in quotes in a KJV bible search? CLICK HEREHere is a simple test of PERSONS:
1 John 2:22
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? HE IS ANTICHRIST, THAT DENIETH the Father and THE SON. 23 WHOSOEVER DENIETH THE SON, THE SAME HATH NOT THE FATHER: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].Even were Mr. Deedat's verse real, it would be a test of SPIRITS not PERSONS.
It is 1400 years too late to "try the spirits" that caused Mohammed to writhe on the ground and foam at the mouth.Could it be that Mr. Deedat left out "...
that denieth the Father and the Son." from his phony verse, because Islam denies the Son? The answer is obvious.
The most important fundamental in Mohammedan Islam is "shirk", manifest specifically as denying that God has a Son. As we see above, this is "that spirit of antichrist".
Each and every Muslim that denies the Son is antichrist, and also is AN antichrist. It isn't complicated. We learn from the same prophet John:
John 20:31
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.1John 5:12
He that hath the Son hath life; [and] HE THAT HATH NOT THE SON OF GOD HATH NOT LIFE. 2 John 1:9
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.John 3:36
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT THE SON SHALL NOT SEE LIFE, BUT THE WRATH OF GOD ABIDETH ON HIM. 1John 5:10
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT GOD HATH MADE HIM A LIAR; because HE BELIEVED NOT THE RECORD that God gave of his Son.Note: Jews recognize the Son through Old Testament scriptures but some haven't yet recognized that Jesus is that promised Son, as God himself may have sovereignly blinded some of them. This subject is described as a "mystery" discussed in Romans chapter 11. Jesus was there for Old Testament saints too:
Hebrews 9:26
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
