Is Jesus God?

An excellent video series that does a good job of explaining this subject:

Muslims are surprised that Christians claim that Jesus is a part of God, that is, a manifestation of God, like God's Spirit is a part of God that He manifest to us. But contrary to what Mohammed claimed, Christians worship ONE God:

Mark 12:29  And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:  30  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.  31 And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.  32  And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

Muslims must really have difficulty believing that Jesus led a sinless life. How could A MAN ever live for almost 40 years, without even ever glancing at a beautiful woman and having even a fleeting thought that was inappropriate? Yet at least most Muslims hold that Jesus was sinless. It seems obvious to me that only God could do that.

Some Muslims even believe that Mary was sinless, like the Roman Catholics, but even Mary knew she needed a Savior, just like each and every one of us:
Luke 1:46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Here is what the bible tells us about God and Jesus:

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.   2  The same was in the beginning with God.    3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.    4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.    5  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.    6  There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John.    7  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe.   8  He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light.    9  [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.    10  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.    11  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.   12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:    13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.    14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Jesus declared He is the Son of God, and that He is God. That's why men crucified Him:

John 10:30 I and [my] Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
http://www.islamandthetruth.com/#john_10

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. 59 Then took they up stones to cast at him:...
http://www.islamandthetruth.com/#john_8

God's name is I AM (YHWH): Exd 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

That's why they wanted to stone Him. That's why they crucified Him. Because Jesus claimed He is the Son of God.
John 19:7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
http://www.islamandthetruth.com/#john_19

God the Father/Jesus are coexistent:

John 17:5  And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

2Timothy 1:9  Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Revelation 13:8  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

It would seem that even Old Testament saints - the Jews - were saved by the blood of the Lamb - the Son of God - that was foreordained, but simply manifest or revealed to mankind, when He was sent to earth.

1 Peter 1:19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:  20  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Hebrews 9:26  For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Genesis 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Gen 3:22  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Matthew 13:35  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

John 17:24   Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
http://www.islamandthetruth.com/#john_17

Muslims believe in God and in God's Spirit. By the same measure that they apply to Christians then, they are polytheist.
1+1=2
God's Spirit is one of the ways God chose to manifest Himself to mankind. His Son Jesus Christ is another way He chose to do so.

Question and Answer session with a Muslim:

[[[but what I don't understand is why people think of God that he is like humans he has a son !]]]

I don't know how you can think He doesn't have a Son. Who put Jesus in Mary?
You agree that God did. If Mary is Jesus' mother, who is Jesus father then?
http://www.islamandthetruth.com/god_the_father.htm

[[[ God is different he is the all mighty ,nothing like him, the way christians think is just like the greec or romans or hindos , god and sons ,]]]

But their phony gods were limited weren't they? Each had his chore. The sun god, the god of the sea, etc.

Mohammed and your imams lie to you. If any of them knew anything about God's Word they would know that Christians believe in ONE God. Otherwise we wouldn't be Christians:

Mark 12...Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord 32 ... for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

You know that God is without limits. Omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. Christians see God as one God through the ways that He chose to manifest Himself to mankind. Manifest is the English word translated from the Greek for revealed, or showed Himself to us. If God hadn't revealed Himself to us, how would we even know He exists?

He manifest Himself to us through His Spirit.

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Exd 31:3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

He manifest Himself by speaking directly to Abraham!
And speaking directly to the Apostles:

Mat 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

He manifest Himself to the Jews as a burning bush.

You agree that IF God chose to manifest Himself to mankind, all He would have to do is say "be" and it would be done.

What if God wanted to manifest Himself in the flesh? Couldn't He do that? To send His Spirit to dwell among us? Of course He could. What if He wanted to demonstrate to us the perfect model of how we are supposed to act? Could He? Well that's what He did!

Muslims believe that by the Word of Allah He sent His spirit through the angel Gabriel, to the Virgin Mary, through which she conceived Jesus. Muslims call Jesus Ruhullah, which means, Spirit of Allah. So Muslims believe in God and in God's Spirit. Then by the same measure that they apply to Christians they are polytheist. Believing in God and His Spirit - 2 Gods. 1 + 1 = 2. We can see that Muslims are simply hypocrites when they accuse Christians of being polytheist for believing in God and His Spirit.
http://islamchristianforum.com/index.php?topic=110.0

Even you believe that Jesus led a sinless life while on earth. That would mean, for example, that He never glanced at a woman, and had an inappropriate thought for even a moment. Or that He never misjudged.

How could a man be perfect and sinless for almost 40 years?
It's obvious that a man could never be. At least not unless he were a direct part of God.

Jhn 10:30 I and [my] Father are one.

You recognize that NOBODY else in the history of mankind was born of a virgin, yet to you Jesus is just another prophet. Just better than most. Do you see how preposterous that view is?

[[[we believe that Allha is the name of God...]]]

But that is blasphemy. God told us what His NAME is:

Exd 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

God's name is "I AM". In Hebrew YHWH or Yahweh.
Allah does not mean "I AM" in Arabic. Archaeological evidence would suggest that Allah was the name of the moon god in Mecca.

Calling God's NAME Allah, is blasphemy against the Most High.

Rev 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, TO BLASPHEME HIS NAME, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/leopard_bear_lion_beast.htm

[[[... the same God of Ibrahim ,and all the prophets his powers are beond our imagenation ,...]]]

Then you would agree that if God wanted to send a part of Himself to mankind to be the perfect example for all mankind, to send His Spirit to dwell among us, that all He would have to do is say "be" and He could.

[[[[.... he dosen't need to make all this story to forgive humans ....]]]

You have no basis whatsoever to make that claim. You pretend TO KNOW GOD'S "NEEDS" OR WAYS - to know His mind. But you don't.
We can only know God by the way He revealed Himself over the 1600 years of the steady revelation of Himself to all mankind through the Word of God.

That's why you reject the very blood that would save you. You put God in a box of what only your carnal human mind can imagine Him to be. You limit what He can and can't do.

The formula is the same in the Old Testament or New. Without blood there is no remission of sin:

Mat 26:28 For this is MY BLOOD of the new testament, which is SHED FOR MANY for the remission of sins.

Hbr 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and WITHOUT SHEDDING OF BLOOD IS NO REMISSION.

You deny the very blood that would save you from the pit of hell.

[[[...who are nothing comparing to this huge univers , it's to hard to accept , do you think that pops are more holly than God ! thay cant have a son while God dose ?]]]

I don't believe there was ever even such and office as pope before Constantine created it. Jesus Christ is the head of the church, not the pope. See the Roman Catholic Church section for more on the subject.

[[[..do U think that the jews are stronger than God and they killed him withuot mircy ?]]]

It wasn't the Jews that killed Jesus. It is the sinful nature of mankind that killed Jesus. You and I killed Jesus. He paid that horrible price to save us. God and Jesus are coexistent. And Jesus suffered for all mankind from the foundation of the world:

Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

[[[ is God crule and unjust to kill his son or him self (THA'S TOO CRAZY)]]]

God sent the perfect example. A part of Himself manifest in the flesh, to show us how to be.

Does God let people get sick? Does God let people go to war against each other? Did God let Hitler and the Islamic Mufti of Jerusalem slaughter 6 million or so Jews?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZHWhsc7wvg

We even had a preview of God sacrificing a part of Himself in the story of Abraham taking his son up on the hill to sacrifice. We feel all of Abraham's pain in that story, yet he trusted in God so much that he was willing to sacrifice his son, simply because he wanted to please God.

Yet you call God 'CRAZY' for sending a part of Himself to serve as a perfect example for all mankind.
The most violent thing Jesus ever did was overturn the tables of the moneychangers.
Now consider the life of your prophet. Pillaging caravans, having poets murdered in their sleep. Sexually enslaving women taken as spoils of battle.
http://www.youtube.com/profile_play_list?user=brotherjw

[[[...do U think that God washes sins by killing !!!!]]]

It's not about what I think. From beginning to end of God's Word, that is the formula to receive remission for our sins.

THAT WAS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE TEMPLE THAT SOLOMON BUILT ON THE TEMPLE MOUNT.

For you to deny it is patently absurd. It is WHAT THE BIBLE IS ABOUT.

[[[...do U think that God choose christians and jews to be his sons , what about the other humans, thats not justice and , God is all justece !]]]

If people have not been brought the Gospel, or if people are too immature or retarted to receive the Gospel, then I don't believe they are condemned, because where there is no law there is no transgression.

Rom 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, [there is] no transgression.

But when someone has been shown the truth of God's Word, and they understand that truth and reject it, particularly for a false prophet and a false god, then THEY CONDEMN THEMSELVES. God simply gave you your own will to reject Him if you choose. You have been shown the truth. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for rejecting God and His Son. The Son of God will be your judge:

Jhn 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

[[[Dose the bible say that isa peace be upon him is the last prophet of God ?]]]

The last prophet of God was John. He penned the book of Revelation in about 95AD. The rest of the Apostles died horrible deaths defending the name of Jesus Christ. Stoned to death, nailed to the ground and beheaded, crucified upside down.
http://www.homecomers.org/mirror/martyrs010.htm#67

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will  live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Here is how John's book closes:

Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, IF ANY MAN SHALL ADD UNTO THESE THINGS, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Earlier we read:

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mohammed didn't even come in sheep's clothing but as a ravening wolf. Inspiring his brand of murder unto today with almost 12,000 deadly Islamic terror attacks around the world just since 9-11. http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/
Those guys are behaving in the mold of their prophet. Though Mohammed was personally a coward.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DE3Lpiv9kO8

[[[...why not Adam peace be upon him is Gods son he created him without parents !]]]

Adam is God's son in the generic sense that I am God's son and He is my Father.
But Adam was created from dust:

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Jesus was the ONLY BEGOTTEN of God. The only one that God ever created in the womb of a woman.
http://islamchristianforum.com/index.php?topic=55.0

[[[...if your sins are washed ,then what is the meaning of forbidins in the bible ?]]]

That we are washed doesn't mean we don't have a tendency to sin. We are lowly wretches born of the flesh. It does mean that when we lay those sins at Jesus' feet He forgives us and evermore moves in our lives through the Holy Ghost to help us avoid sinning again.

[[[...it's simpler in Islam , believe in one God the God of all the prophets and the uinivers , believe in the books of God , and his angels, and the disteny with it's good and bad , and believe in the judgement day ....]]]

It's simpler in Islam because it is satan's path to perdition.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for WIDE [IS] THE GATE, AND BROAD [IS THE WAY, THAT LEADETH TO DESTRUCTION, and many there be which go in thereat:

You believe you are going to hell for a short time. That is a satanic trap. The bible is clear that there is no commuting between heaven and hell.

Luke 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence.
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/index.htm#heaven

ONCE YOU ARRIVE, YOU STAY.

[[[...why do you think the jews and the christians sutild in the arabian deserts befor islam , you knwo very well that they were wating for the last prophet to showup .....]]]

But that's preposterous. There were Jews and Christians in the desert. God will quicken whom He will. NOT "convert" at the point of a sword.
I showed you that the last prophet - that also actually walked with Jesus - wrote that if anything is added, that the plagues will be added onto him.

What kind of God would leave His people comfortless for 500 years?

Jhn 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

[[[...as it was mintiond in thier books , (in faran ). Muhammed peace be upon him , was mintiond by the name...]]]

Just a lie of those like Deedat. NOWHERE is Mohammed mentioned EXCEPT as a, and most likely THE false prophet:

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and THE FALSE PROPHET [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/leopard_bear_lion_beast.htm

Does it make sense that God would send a last prophet to:
Be the EXACT OPPOSITE of Jesus in word and deed?
Inspire a false book that is THE EXACT OPPOSITE of God's Word?

[[[[... in barnaba bible , .....]]]

The "gospel" of Barnabas was a 16th century fraud written by Mohammedans. You can Yahoo it. It is not only filled with error, but even makes reference to a currency that was in use by the caliphate when it was penned.

"Islam: 32 Reasons why the Gospel Of Barnabas is a 16th Century Forgery ..."
http://www.bible.ca/islam/islam-judas-gospel-of-barnabas.htm

[[[....why they rfeused Muhammed? ....]]]

Because he was THE EXACT OPPOSITE of everything God revealed to us in His Word about the new covenant we are given through Jesus Christ. Mohammed was ANTICHRIST, as are his followers:

1 John 2:22  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? HE IS ANTICHRIST, THAT DENIETH the Father and THE SON. 23 WHOSOEVER DENIETH THE SON, THE SAME HATH NOT THE FATHER: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].

[[[..., because he is not from the jews , thiere pride was so big like the divil when he refused to kneel for Adam , they couldn't bare that ,arbian ,illiterate man will be thiere prophet ....

the moon sepletion that was discoverd by nasa rerecently, was mintiond in the holly Qur'an, besids other miricals , like the natural water barrier between the seas , how cuold he knwo all that , a humbel man , what made him be so patient to fight his tribe for ten years, and loose his peacefull life in his age !

read about islam from the muslim books , not from mistikin ones , say there is no God but Allah , and Muhammed is his last messenger , you will win the christ and all the prophets and Gods blessings , I really hop that you find the truthe....in islam evrey one is responsebol of his own sins just like Adam !
]]]

In Christianity everyone is responsible for his own sins too. If a Christian is engaging in serial sin, it may be that he does not have a life in Jesus Christ. That he is not born again, even though he may believe he is.

You are following THE false prophet to the same fate that he and all other false prophets receive. The lake of fire.

A question for my Muslim friends.
IF God wanted to manifest Himself in the flesh of a man, and dwell among us, to demonstrate the perfect example of a man for all of mankind, could He?
Couldn't he just say "be" and it would happen?
Could God dwelling in that flesh among us then say, and do, anything that God willed that person to say and do?

Any Muslim that answers "no", would of course not be a Muslim. Muslims understand that God can do ANYTHING.

Then when you see Jesus' life and words described in God's Word you can understand that they are there, not for us to try to figure out "why" God chose to manifest Himself the way that He did - to understand the mind of God - but just THAT He did choose to manifest Himself the way that He did, because His Holy Word says He did.
