The many paradoxes of a God-man, a being simultaneously mortal and immortal are said to be resolved by the phrase "With God all things are possible."

The "debt of sin" is explained as a misunderstood term so that the crucifixion was not so much a payment as a necessary demonstration of God's justice.

brotherjw (1 day ago)

That isn't how I would say things are resolved.
Look at Jesus as being what the bible says He is. A manifestation of God.
Just like God's Spirit.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

God IS. His name is "I AM".
We can only know Him by the ways that He chose to make Himself manifest, or revealed Himself, to us.
Like through His Spirit. Through Jesus Christ.

brotherjw (11 hours ago)

The bible is the 1600 year record of God to mankind through all of the prophets and legions of witnesses. To Jews and Christians the Old Testament is the inerrant Word of God. To Christians the Old and New Testaments are the inerrant Word of God.

To Muslims you must reject ALL of the New Testament prophets and the WHOLE SUBJECT of the New Testament which is the new covenant for A SINGLE 6th century reprobate.

We were given an advance "type" in Abraham and Isaac.
And prophecy:

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day...33 ...I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

That new covenant through Jesus brought salvation unto Gentiles like you and I.

brotherjw (1 day ago)

For that same reason animal sacrifice and blood atonement remitted sin under the old covenant.
If you repent maybe some day you can ask God as to "why" He revealed Himself this way.
That was, of course, the purpose of the Solomonic temple.

Jesus became the n/c ONE sacrifice for all.

Mat 26:28 For this is MY BLOOD of the new testament, which is SHED FOR MANY for the remission of sins.
Hbr 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and WITHOUT SHEDDING OF BLOOD IS NO REMISSION.

Actually a "Bible" is a name not found in the Bible. Nowhere does Bible name itself as a unit.Actually it is at least 66 separate writtings which have been bound as one book. The earlier catalogue contents that agrees with the present text dates back from the fourth century. This indicates that the Bible has no internal claim of unity.Of course, the writings speak for other writings, scriptures and books, but not as a unit of today's collection.-

Sha (9 hours ago)

-Almost the last verse in the Bible commands that "Nothing should be added to or subtracted from this book".While this has been quoted as a unifying statement, any Christian source will verify that the last book in the Bible was not the last book written,Thus the statement can only apply to this particular book of the Bible's 66.

Sha (9 hours ago)

An Article of faith.

Nowhere does the Bible sum itself up as a totally God's word. However, the missionary arguments proceeds this way. At 2 Timothy 3:16 Paul says that all scripture is inspired of God. In 2 Peter 3:15,16 Peter says that Paul is correct, Because Paul too is a writer of scripture. Surely this is not supposed to convince anyone! "Paul says so and Peter says he is right" This kind of argument would not satisfy us if we were investigating any matter.-

Sha (9 hours ago)

he states that he writes without God's inspiration on a subject. About one third of the books in the Bible claim to be divine revelations while the others make no such comment. Because Moreover, We have Paul's denial of his own total inspiration at 1 Corinthians 7:25. Here of this lack, The fundamentalist type of Christian has tried to find other justification for maintaining his claim, as mentioned above.

Sha (9 hours ago)

The fundamentalist professes: "I believe the Bible to be totally inspired of God, inerrant in the original manuscripts." On the one hand this is a statement of his belief, While on the other hand, this is a statement of his beliefs, while on the other hand it is just the basis of his belief: the first because this is said to be his conviction; the second, because the miraculous aspect of the Bible's inerrancy convinces him that God is the author. However the statement cannot do either job.-

Sha (9 hours ago)

- First, he believes that God has ordered the writing of all the Bible. This must include 1 Corinthians 7:25 where Paul writes without the command of God - a contradiction. Second, the miraculous inerrancy of the Bible is something he has never seen. Many Biblical errors are excused as being copying errors. That is, the original manuscripts, which are lost for ever, are said to be inerrant but not those manuscripts which we have today. The statement-

Sha (9 hours ago)

-(intended to serve as both an article of faith and the justification for such faith) fails because it is not universally applied in the first usage and it cites evidence which cannot be produced in the second usage.
Many of the verses in the Bible seem to contradict each other. However, these are often matters that can be reconciled by better understanding of translation and context. This kind of reconciliation is the subject of many Christian books and is a healthy process. But some have-

Sha (9 hours ago)

- deceived themselves in to thinking that this means every Biblical contradictions is only apparent and can be explained. Actually there is another category of contradictions which is not explainable by consideration of translation or context.
It is the existance of this type of discrepancy that has caused the word "In the original manuscripts" to be added to any claim that the Bible is free of error. These are the so called copying mistakes (e.g. Ezra 2 and Nehemiah 7).-

Sha (9 hours ago)

-Here again the believer in total Bible inspiration neglects to apply his belief universally. At Isaiah 40:8 the Bible states that God's word stands forever- it does not get lost in the recopying. If the Christian takes this part of the Bible as inspired how can he admit that other portion have not stood till now, Let alone forever ?

Bible vs Quran:

I choose the 1600 year record of God to mankind. You choose a SINGLE, STAND-ALONE, 6th century illiterate false prophet. It's not like it wasn't prophesied:

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Sha (1 day ago)

Biblical Prophecies on the Advent of
Muhammad , the Prophet of Islam

The Biblical prophecies on the advent of the Prophet Muhammad are evidence of the truth of Islam for people who believe in the Bible.

Sha (1 day ago)

In Deuteronomy 18, Moses stated that God told him: I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account. (Deuteronomy 18:18-19).

Sha (1 day ago)

From these verses we conclude that the prophet in this prophecy must have the following three characteristics:

1) That he will be like Moses.

2) That he will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites.

3) That God will put His words in to the mouth of this prophet and that he will declare what God commands him.

Sha (1 day ago)

Let us examine these three characteristics in more depth:

1) A prophet like Moses:

There were hardly any two prophets who were so much alike as Moses and Muhammad . Both were given a comprehensive law and code of life. Both encountered their enemies and were victorious in miraculous ways. Both were accepted as prophets and statesmen. Both migrated following conspiracies to assassinate them. -

Sha (1 day ago)

- Analogies between Moses and Jesus overlook not only the above similarities but other crucial ones as well. These include the natural birth, the family life, and death of Moses and Muhammad but not of Jesus. Moreover Jesus was regarded by his followers as the Son of God and not exclusively as a prophet of God, as Moses and Muhammad were and as Muslims believe Jesus was. So, this prophecy refers to the Prophet Muhammad and not to Jesus, because Muhammad is more like Moses than Jesus.

Sha (1 day ago)

Also, one notices from the Gospel of John that the Jews were waiting for the fulfillment of three distinct prophecies. The first was the coming of Christ. The second was the coming of Elijah. The third was the coming of the Prophet. This is obvious from the three questions that were posed to John the Baptist: Now this was Johns testimony, when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, I am not the Christ. -

Sha (1 day ago)

-They asked him, Then who are you? Are you Elijah? He said, I am not. Are you the Prophet? He answered, No. (John 1:19-21). If we look in a Bible with cross-references, we will find in the marginal notes where the words the Prophet occur in John 1:21, that these words refer to the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18:15 and 18:18.2 We conclude from this that Jesus Christ is not the prophet mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:18.

Sha (1 day ago)

2) From the brothers of the Israelites:

Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac (Genesis 21).

Ishmael became the grandfather of the Arab nation, and Isaac became the grandfather of the Jewish nation. The prophet spoken of was not to come from among the Jews themselves, but from among their brothers, i.e. the Ishmaelites. Muhammad , a descendant of Ishmael, is indeed this prophet.

Sha (1 day ago)

Also, Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the servant of God, His chosen one and messenger who will bring down a law. He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope. (Isaiah 42:4). Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Kedar. Who is Kedar? According to Genesis 25:13, Kedar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of the Prophet Muhammad .

Sha (1 day ago)

3) God will put His words in the mouth of this prophet:

The words of God (the Holy Quran) were truly put into Muhammads mouth. God sent the Angel Gabriel to teach Muhammad the exact words of God (the Holy Quran) and asked him to dictate them to the people as he heard them. The words are therefore not his own. -

Sha (1 day ago)

- They did not come from his own thoughts, but were put into his mouth by the Angel Gabriel. During the life time of Muhammad , and under his supervision, these words were then memorized and written by his companions.

Sha (1 day ago)

Also, this prophecy in Deuteronomy mentioned that this prophet will speak the words of God in the name of God. If we looked to the Holy Quran, we will find that all its chapters, except Chapter 9, are preceded or begin with the phrase, In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Sha (1 day ago)

Another indication (other than the prophecy in Deuteronomy) is that Isaiah ties the messenger connected with Kedar with a new song (a scripture in a new language) to be sung to the Lord (Isaiah 42:10-11). This is mentioned more clearly in the prophecy of Isaiah: and another tongue, will he speak to this people (Isaiah 28:11 KJV). -

Sha (1 day ago)

- Another related point, is that the Quran was revealed in sections over a span of twenty-three years. It is interesting to compare this with Isaiah 28 which speaks of the same thing, For it is: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there. (Isaiah 28:10).

Sha (1 day ago)

Note that God has said in the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18, If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account. (Deuteronomy, 18:19). This means that whoever believes in the Bible must believe in what this prophet says, and this prophet is the Prophet Muhammad .

That's true. It calls itself the Word of God.

Nowhere does Bible name itself as a unit.Actually it is at least 66 separate writtings which have been bound as one book. The earlier catalogue contents that agrees with the present text dates back from the fourth century.

Over 5300 partial or complete manuscripts of God’s Word were penned prior to 300AD, in virtually every language that was known to man, that were read all over the known world.
To suggest it was tampered with would require that scribes from Syria, Babylonia, Galatia, Asia, India, Rome, Egypt, Greece, Carthage, Tarshish and Macedonia - to name a few - all made the same mistake, at the same time, for the same doctrinal purpose.
Preposterous notion.
watch?v=6R2Zp7T5XlA

This indicates that the Bible has no internal claim of unity.Of course, the writings speak for other writings, scriptures and books, but not as a unit of today's collection.-

The bible is composed of the books that are considered inspired. Same with the Old Testament and the books that the Jews deemed were inspired.
The apocrypha was added to the Roman Catholic bible much later in an anti-reformation effort. These are HEBREW books that the Jews did not consider inspired.

Sha (9 hours ago)

The book of Revelation was indeed the last book being authored around 95-100 AD.

It works in a court of law, and in God's court. That's what WITNESSES are for. That's how we can rest assured that Mohammed was a FALSE PROPHET. No witnesses when he was attacked by satan and a host of unclean spirits in his cave.

Mat 18:16      But if he will not hear [thee, then] take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

Mohammed was a lone ravenous wolf:
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Sha (9 hours ago)

he states that he writes without God's inspiration on a subject. About one third of the books in the Bible claim to be divine revelations while the others make no such comment.

2 Timothy 3:16  All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  17  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Compare that with the ridiculous Quran that requires abrogation in a whopping 71 out of only 114 suras:

You should be able to see through your adolescent language who is in complete control of your life. It is Satan, my friend. The same one that drove Mohammed. In regard to antichrist it isn't about what we say, but about what the Word of God says:

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? HE IS ANTICHRIST, THAT DENIETH the Father and THE SON. 23 WHOSOEVER DENIETH THE SON, THE SAME HATH NOT THE FATHER:...

Pretty simple my friend. You and Mohammed are antichrists.

PeteWaldo (5 days ago)

And of course every Christian should be anti-Mohammed, anti the false prophet, as he was the EXACT OPPOSITE of Jesus Christ, and his book the EXACT OPPOSITE of God's Word.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

A bunch of farmers kicked the butts of 300,000 Islamic cavalry in the Battle of Tour France, effectively ending the Islamic First Jihad.
But you gotta admit, Mohammed sending his sword into battle with someone else, and then retiring to a distant hill wit 12 body guards while wearing 2 suits of chainmail, doesn't exactly describe bravery. Then when the hill was overrun he played dead like a little opossum.

A real sad story. Your people began in the original religion that God gave to Abraham and seed, from the early beginnings of mankind, as revealed through all of the prophets and legions of witnesses in His Holy Word, and exchanged it for the 23 year record of a 6th century, illiterate, pillaging, plundering, murdering, child doing, stepson's wife taking, sex slave capturing, slave pimping, concubine fornicating, imperialistic coward and thief.
THE EXACT OPPOSITE of Jesus and the New Testament.

Why not try the topic of this video Khan? Does John's First Epistle confirm Mohammed as the famous Greek sophist styled entertainer and antichrist Ahmed Deedat suggested?

Or was it simply more of his antichrist sophist nonsense?

Too cowardly to join me in the forum where we can organize conversation, yet you spam as if you would like a more in depth discussion than 500 character allows. What are you afraid of? You can always copy and paste anything from there in here.
brotherpete. com/index. php?board=12.0

But why is it that you still haven't discussed the topic of this video?
Was Deedat simply filled with buffoonery, or have you actually been deceived by his lies? Why not click on the link in the upper right?

ShaitanKhan is this the prophet you speak of?

Muhammad himself sanctioned the massacre of the Qurayza, a vanquished Jewish tribe. He appointed an "arbiter" who soon rendered this concise verdict: the men were to be put to death, the women and children sold into slavery, the spoils to be divided among the Muslims. Muhammad ratified this judgment stating that it was a decree of God pronounced from above the Seven Heavens.

Sha is a spam coward like the rest of his ilk. They can't simply post a comment and wait for a reply and have a discussion, because he has no interest in a response. They must run from the truth because it is too horrible for them to contemplate. But it's not us that made him a liar:

1Jo 5:10 He that BELIEVETH ON THE SON OF GOD hath the witness in himself: HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT GOD HATH MADE HIM A LIAR; because HE BELIEVED NOT THE RECORD that God gave of his Son.

Start with his preposterous nonsense regarding Messianic prophecy:

"From these verses we conclude that the prophet in this prophecy must have the following three characteristics:

1) That he will be like Moses.

2) That he will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites."

Can you believe it aperisions?
We know Ishmael was the illegitimate bastard son of Hagar, but at least ShaitanKhan correctly identifies Mohammed and himself as her seed.

Gen 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou [art] with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand [will be] against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

And so it still is with the bastard's seed today.
