"Science" of the Quran and its "Miracles"
« on: March 02, 2011, 08:47:34 AM »
For those sorely deluded into believing that there are scientific miracles in the Quran, like this poor fellow that read "The Bible, The Qur'an, And Science; The Holy Scriptures Examined In The Light Of Modern Knowledge", please click on the following link that exposes the nonsense suggested in that book and throughout a plethora of Islamic sites, and scroll down to the "index".

Often when Muslims are left flatfooted after being shown the matter of fact that there is not a shred of EVIDENCE that suggests that Mecca ever existed before pagan immigrants settled the area in about the 4th century AD, they next turn to pointing out the so-called "miracles" of the Quran, as if somehow that could substitute for thousands of years of non-existent history of Mecca.

Some even suggest that the Quran itself is a miracle, simply their false prophet told this to his 90% illiterate audience, who could not verify his claim for themselves. This particularly because there was no such thing as a written Quran when Muhammad was making those claims.

Of course anyone who's read the Quran knows full well what a mess it is. Even Muhammed admitted to the contradictions when he raised the subject of abrogation.

"Gerd Puin, the world's leading specialist in Arabic calligraphy and Qur'anic paleography, studying the oldest manuscripts, speaks with disdain about the willingness of Muslims and non-Muslims alike, to accept Islamic dogma. He says: ""My idea is that the Koran is a kind of cocktail of texts that were not all understood even at the time of Muhammad. Many of them may even be a hundred years older than Islam itself. Even within the Islamic traditions there is a huge body of contradictory information, including a significant Christian substrate; one can derive a whole Islamic anti-history from them if one wants. The Qur'an claims for itself that it is 'mubeen,' or clear, but if you just look at it, you will see that every fifth sentence or so simply doesn't make sense. Many Muslims will tell you otherwise, but the fact is that a fifth of the Qur'an is just incomprehensible. This is what has caused the traditional anxiety regarding translation. If the Qur'an is not comprehensible, if it can't even be understood in Arabic, then it's not translatable into any language. That is why Muslims are afraid.""

Gerd Puin was the head of a restoration project, commissioned by the Yemeni government, which spent a significant amount of time examining the ancient Qur'anic manuscripts discovered in Sana'a, Yemen, in 1972, in order to find criteria for cataloging them scientifically.

Regarding the "miracles" mentioned in scripture that are "wrought" by THE false prophet of the book of Revelation that is covered at this thread.

This thread is posted to help those so deluded by Islamic liars that make claims regarding miracles related to Muhammad's stand-alone 7th century religion, even though their own prophet denied there were any miracles. If Muslims try to feed you this hog wash you can find some of their goofy claims exposed in the following link.

(2) Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create!
(  سورة المؤمنون  , Al-Mumenoon, Chapter #23, Verse #14)

Really??? Does that describe embryonic development? What kind of "Allah" could get that so wrong?
