It doesn't take much cruising around YouTube to learn that almost universally, anti-Zionists are eager to tar Zionism with John Darby's futurist eschatology, most suggesting there is a necessary association as a ruse to then go off on condemning that heresy, rather than recognizing the scriptures that prophesy the restoration of the Jews to their land, let alone the miracle of the physical reality of a people being scattered among the nations for 2500 years while still remaining a cohesive group. Nothing could have been a greater disaster to the jesuit Alcazar's heresy of preterism than the restoration of the Jews to their land. The whole eschatology went right out the window. I think that the restoration of the Jews to their land, exposing the soft underbelly of preterist heresy is, in part, what makes preterists so vehement in their condemnation of Zionists - not even noticing they are joining Nazis, skinheads, the KKK, Muslims and the former Soviets, and anti-semites of all stripes - to name a few - in so doing.

Interesting tidbit was Herzl's slogan mentioned in the video that was coined in the 19th century "A land of no people for a people with no land" which certainly seems to speak to the absence of people, or ownership of anything by anybody, in Israel in the early 1800s. Or even worse (from an apocalyptic Christian Zionist perspective) what they will do if a new democratic Egyptian government helps bring about a legitimate peace treaty with Israel, one that leads to the dismantlement of illegal settlements and the creation of a viable Palestinian state on land Christian Zionists insist belongs to the world's Jews. In other words, what if unfolding events make the Christian Zionist End Times scenario no longer tenable? Will Hagee and company continue to raise the apocalyptic flag even when there is no wind to keep it flying? Or will they simply close up shop, turning their backs on Israel because she didn't keep her side of the apocalyptic bargain? Given that this is the primary basis upon which Christian Zionists like Hagee build their support for the Israeli state (despite Hagee's assertions to the contrary) such a scenario is not beyond possibility.
