Hi bro and welcome to the forum!
See if you can get to page 11 (of 125) at the following link to a PDF of
Skolfield's Study Guide, you can see the map illustration from Biblical Archaeology Review Vol. IX No. 2, April, 1983, that brother Ellis got permission to include in his study guide:
http://www.christianeschatology.com/sg2015p2.pdfhttp://members.bib-arch.org/publication.asp?PubID=BSBA&Volume=9&Issue=2&ArticleID=13&UserID=0Also the Eastern "Gate Beautiful" lines up with the Dome of the Spirits (though in researching just today I noticed that it may not line up with it).
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/mathematical_precision_of_prophecy.htm#eastern_gateSome third temple Jews and futurist styled Christians understand that a temple could be rebuilt on the temple mount, on the site of the old temple, without interfering with the Dome of the Rock.

And as he points out, the craggy rock in the Dome of the Rock, could never have served as a threshing floor since both the threshing and collection of grain would hardly have been possible. The smooth rock under the Dome of the Spirits would have served very well as a threshing floor.
1Ch 21:18
Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.http://www.bing.com/search?q=Biblical+Archaeology+Review+Vol.+IX+No.+2%2C+April%2C+1983&qs=n&form=QBLH&pq=biblical+archaeology+review+vol.+ix+no.+2%2C+april%2C+1983&sc=0-0&sp=-1&sk=&cvid=fd3bd82f389740c087b4301418cfd0c5http://www.holylandphotos.org/browse.asp?s=1,2,6,19,313,318&img=IJNTDR57Most importantly, I believe the reason the Lord made it so difficult to find the exact location of either temple, is precisely so that no physical temple would be rebuilt, as it would result in a resurrection of the old covenant that waxed away,
since Jesus already rebuilt the temple in 3 days, nearly 2,000 years ago - just as He promised He could - through His crucifixion, death and resurrection. Indeed Jesus is the chief cornerstone of the temple of God. Of the "true tabernacle" that the Lord pitched, and not man.
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/temple_of_god.htmJohn 2:19
Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.Yet many Christians today, don't seem to believe "the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said".
Acts 17:24
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;Hebrews 8:1
Now of the things which we have spoken [this is] the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.Ephesians 2:19
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner [stone]; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.Again, welcome to the forum bro!
