Jesus' Crucifixion in Old Testament Prophecy

In the Old Testament book of Psalms we find Jesus' crucifixion prophesied:

Old Testament
Psalms 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I may tell all my bones: they look [and] stare upon me. 18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

That prophecy was written hundreds of years before crucifixion was invented.

Fulfilled:

New Testament
Matthew 27:35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.


We find another reference in Old Testament prophecy of Jesus' second coming:

Because of his faith in YHWH, Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac, simply because he was instructed to (as a test of his faith). This was an advanced type of the sacrifice of Yeshua the Messiah (the name Yeshua meaning YHWH saves).

Abraham even declaring to Isaac, when Isaac asked where the lamb was that they were going to sacrifice

Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

And indeed He ultimately did as the final solution for the propitiation of sin.

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
