"Qedarite (also Kedarite/Cedarene, Cedar/Kedar/Qedar and Kingdom of Qedar) refers to a largely nomadic, ancient Arab tribal confederation. Described as "the most organized of the
Northern Arabian tribes", at the peak of its power in the 6th century BC it controlled a large region between the Persian Gulf and the
Sinai Peninsula.
Biblical tradition holds that the Qedarites are named for Qedar, the second son of Ishmael, mentioned in the Bible's books of Genesis (25:13) and Chronicles (1:29), where there are also frequent references to Qedar as a tribe.[2][5] The earliest extrabiblical inscriptions discovered by archaeologists that mention the Qedarites are from the Neo-Assyrian Empire. Spanning the 8th and 7th centuries BC, they list the names of Qedarite queens and kings who paid Assyrian monarchs tribute, as well as those who revolted and were defeated in battle."

Of course Isaiah 42 is a
MESSIANIC prophecy http://islamchristianforum.com/index.php?topic=396.0The reason for the confusion is because Mohammed's genealogy is a fiction that was created in the 8th century by Ibn Ishak. If this comes as a surprise to you simply count the generations.
Are we to believe an average Arabian generation 66 years long? Especially with Mohammed himself having done a 9 year old?
http://islamchristianforum.com/index.php?topic=1317.0It's utterly preposterous to suggest that someone could have, in the 7th century AD Arabian desert, traced their genealogy back a couple thousand years. The confusion in Islamic scholars today is the same as it was back when other liars tried it according to Amru bin al-As:
'
Mohammed genealogized himself regarding his ancestors until he reached al-Nather bin Kinaneh, then he said 'anyone who claimed otherwise or added further ancestors, has lied.'"
