I have a question and I can't find a thread to post it under
« on: August 07, 2010, 04:05:17 PM »
It concerns the site, Behold The Beast. Under the link titled the Great Tribulation, you said "Here is a link to a good sound Bible teacher, where you can go to church online, anytime you want, to get the Word of God." I clicked it and all I get is a link that says forbidden and that I don't have permission.

I know I need to find a church fellowship, but I have not been able to find one that I can stay in. I was going to Calvary Chapel for a while and decided that even as much as I liked them, I couldn't abide being told that I had to sign a paper that says I believe in a pre-trib rapture in order to be part of it.

I could go on. But I really consider that the coincidences in finding Ellis Skolfield and your websites (books and links shared with me from independent sources, friends of mine in other states) to be beyond coincidental, and was really interested in the website for bible study and online church that you mentioned.

Thank you, and I hope this isn't considered an abuse of the forum, I didn't know what else to do, you don't have a contact link, or I couldn't find it.

Hi brother and welcome to the forum. :)
Someone else asked me the exact same thing and I searched it pretty hard.
I wound up removing the link from the page they found it on.

I know I need to find a church fellowship, but I have not been able to find one that I can stay in. I was going to Calvary Chapel .......

I did too. In fact I was saved at Calvary Chapel in '03, though I had been indoctrinating myself with Jack Van Impe tapes for some years before that.

....... for a while and decided that even as much as I liked them, I couldn't abide being told that I had to sign a paper that says I believe in a pre-trib rapture in order to be part of it.

I chatted with a bro from a different Calvary Chapel that was going into some sort of assistant pastor-ship or something like that, and he mentioned to them that he couldn't abide the doctrine of the pre-trib rapture, and they told him he had to leave the program too.
As for my view, if there was such a "rapture" it would have had to have been before John declared me his fellow companion in THE tribulation. (Revelation 1:9 as discussed on the page you found that link on.)
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/great_tribulation.htm#pre_trib_rapture

Regarding how you and the bro I mentioned were treated at CC, I believe the term nicolaitan applies. One of the things Yahweh expresses a personal hatred of.

I could go on. But I really consider that the coincidences in finding Ellis Skolfield and your websites (books and links shared with me from independent sources, friends of mine in other states) to be beyond coincidental, and was really interested in the website for bible study and online church that you mentioned.

I am going to look into it a little more thoroughly, but for now I still can't access it either.

Not any kind of abuse bro, and again, welcome to the forum!

Thank you sir. I am grateful to you. I didn't stay in Cavalry Chapel that long. I currently live in Tennessee, a good friend of mine in North Carolina played the guitar for the worship team at a Cavalry Chapel in Greensboro, and the Pastor was an old friend of his. He no longer goes there either, and told me that that was the most troubling part of going there was the paper he had to sign committing to belief in a pre-trib rapture. He read Ellis Skolfield's book, "Islam In The End Times", and like me had already begun to think that there wasn't anywhere in scripture that indicated that Christians would be raptured out of tribulation, and after reading the book was certain that any of those theories were completely off base.

I am going to explore this blog and your website, read the Bible, and pray. I can't explain it to you, but things have begun to happen that I can't explain. Self examination and real repentance and I don't have the strength or the power to do these things, yet that is what is happening in my life, and you and your website has been instrumental in that, that and the writings of Ellis Skolfield. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Hey Brother Jeff.

Glad to see some friendly faces. I can relate to what you are going through. Ellis' book The False Prophet caused a stir in me. It made me realize the emminence of Yeshua's return. For three days it was like walking in a waking dream. Reality comes at you pretty hard though. I tried for nearly a year to get people to read that book and so far, as far as I know, no one has finished it.

I'm really glad you stopped by. Please feel free to ask questions and share your points of view. Pete and I are always trying to clarify whatever we can. I consider myself a fellow student along side of you. Oh yeah and if you are looking for a good Pastor, John MacArthur is an amazing preacher. Unfortunately he is a futurist so I cannot agree with his eschatology but he has shown me things I would have missed otherwise. For example this http://islamchristianforum.com/index.php?topic=1433.0 . I read about that in one of his books. His site is www.gty.org. You can look up old sermons or look at recent ones.

Again welcome to the forum.

Yeshua bless you

I wish words could express my gratitude for your kind words. For some years now it has been easy for me to feel like a lone voice crying in the wilderness, from behind my mouse and keyboard.
The good Lord eventually did send resistingrexmundi along to this forum, a great brother in Christ Jesus, to join with, and encourage, me in getting this vital Word out.
Just imagine what it has been like for Mr. Skolfield, trying to bring this - what is a historically confirmed obvious message - of Islam as the end time foe of Yahweh's people, to an eschatologically deaf, dumb and blind "church" for the last 30 years!

In case you missed it, it is important to understand the nature of the entire traditional context, in which this end-time understanding is supported.

It is interesting that you made this inquiry yesterday, and today, while I was looking for a "sacred name" bible that was easier to copy and paste from, I ran across this site and this video.
"The Hebrew roots of Christianity"
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Simply click on the first video screen on the page.

All I can say is thank you to all of you. You have been very gracious and kind. I like the websites. The statement on EliYa's site, "I do realize that I'm not in the mainstream, but how often in biblical history is majority ever right?", this might be a little superfluous, but I immediately remembered a quote I had read from Mark Twain..."Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect."

Yes, I don't know as much of the history as you folks do, but I have already read and examined some criticisms of Mr. Skolfield's, and honestly, in an honest attempt to get at the truth, I read what they had to say and I find their theories and opinions to have taken Skolfield out of context or they are purposely trying to find something they can throw stones at, while their own theories make a lot less sense than "Islam In The End Time" or "The False Prophet". Mr. Skolfield has certainly been up against it, but I suppose that was prophesied too, that anyone carrying the gospel, the truth, would be maligned and persecuted.

Thank you all for your kind welcome and the websites you've posted. I have had a world of internet and browser difficulties or I would have been back sooner. I have also been reading the books I discovered on Fish House ministries.

By the way, don't loose hope. It was a teenager who reminded me of "The False Prophet". At that point, I had seen the website, Behold The Beast, and had been exploring it, and my old friend, Skip, had sent me the Amazon link to the other book, "Islam in the End Time". Out of the mouths of babes, the message has been received by some young people.

Thank you Brother Jeff. When churches receive Mr. Skolfield's message it really sets them on fire for the Lord.
Are you reading "Shining Man..."? That book moved me more deeply than anything I have ever read.

In regard to good churches, I think people need to start going back to home-churches like the First-Century Church had. And if we cannot have them exactly like that, I think we should at least have them in a Bible study type setting where there is no leader, but rather just someone who lays out a subject matter which everyone can study and then come together and share what they believe God taught them about the subject matter that week. And if God shows them anything else that week, they can share that as well if God's heart moves them to do so.

In that setting, each person gets to learn from God through what He teaches other people, and each person gets to be used by God to teach other people, because everyone participates as God moves their hearts to do so, which is very similar to first-century church practice.

This completely flips the whole modern church structure on its back. People would not be all sitting facing one direction, staring at a pastor, trusting that God speaks to him and he knows the whole truth. They would not get passive in their relationship with God by replacing God with a pastor. They would be engaged and actively used and taught by God in a home-church setting. No one ran home-churches in the first century. The elders simply directed it a bit and let God guide the meeting through each person. Yes, there is a chance for false doctrine, but at least everyone is engaged. At least people are forced to trust in Christ rather than trust in a man and his set guidelines of religious beliefs. The big church thing only happened in the first century when feasts would come around, really. Otherwise, everyone stuck with their home church. Everything comes from the relationship and I think that is what home churches foster as long as they are not run like a regular church. Even being run like a regular church, they are more relationship oriented engaging, to some small degree.

I think a good way to accomplish this would be through everyone simultaneously doing word, term, or phrase searches. Then collect back together and see the conclusions that everyone came up with.

In that setting, each person gets to learn from God through what He teaches other people, and each person gets to be used by God to teach other people, because everyone participates as God moves their hearts to do so, which is very similar to first-century church practice.

Great companion book to "Pagan Christianity" in regard to the "organic church" you describe is "Reimagining Church" also by Frank Viola.
