Whichever the worst scenario you ever saw painted for the Y2K crisis, an EMP would be a multiple of that, in terms of devastation. Every unshielded electronic circuit would be destroyed. Unless you currently fetch you water with a bucket, there would be no water, no transportation and thus no food or anything else. Countries like Cuba and North Korea would become advanced in comparison.
