You suffer under a profound misunderstanding. Nobody took Jesus life:

ALL of the apostles died terrible martyrs deaths with the exception of the Apostle John who they tried to boil in oil and failed.

John the Baptist was nailed to the ground and beheaded. Peter was crucified but requested that he be turned upside down on the Cross so that it didn't mock Jesus Christ.
