I just saw Michael Scheuer on the TV while exercising, who I think I have seen before but never noticed, who is in the
blame-Israel, blame America for Islamic violence, camp. That is, the apparent view that if the U.S. did not try to defend the innocent anywhere, from imperialistic Islamic aggression, that somehow Islam would not be at war against us. The same kind of thinking as prior to the U.S. engagement in WW2 perhaps. That if we just stayed out of Europe and let Hitler conquer it, that he then for some inexplicable reason, wouldn't have eventually become a problem for us too.
In trying to figure out how someone so well educated, could get things so wrong, I did not notice any of his materials that address the spiritual nature of the conflict.
Let alone that to blame America for Islamic violence, would be to blame a country that did not exist before 1776, for the imperialistic conquest of Islamic Jihad of a thousand years earlier.
Or how he would explain the Muslim slaughter of thousands of Christians in Nigeria and the Ivory Coast, for example.
It is either abject ignorance to, or inexcusable denial of, the same old 1400 year dar al Salaam conquest and subjugation of the dar al Harb.
http://www.falseprophetmuhammad.com/jihad_islamic_terrorism.htmNo wonder Osama bin Ladin and the recent terrorists, that beheaded the journalists in Iraq, recommended his books to gullible westerners. Yet rather than being embarrassed about the endorsement he actually seemed proud of championing their cause! He does make some points that at first glance may seem valid. One being that perhaps we should just let the Middle East Muslims murder each other - but that would require us to ignore the simultaneous genocide of the remnant of non-muslim innocents. Tantamount to ignoring Hitler's genocide of Jews.
