Hi - was just pondering verses 12-13 from Daniel 12:-
11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
We know that verse 11 gives us the date of the abomination that desolates the Holy Place, ie the Dome of the Rock. Verse 12 is less clear though. So I decided to experiment with the math and discovered something worth mentioning.
The year 1948 could reasonably be considered a blessed one for the Jewish people - it is the year in which Israel was re-established as a free and independent nation since for over 2500 years. So I took 1948 as a start point and worked backwards:-
1948 - 1335 = AD 613
I checked the year AD 613. It turns out to be the year in which Muhammed started to preach his new religion in Mecca. In other words it is year ONE in the history of Islam! (And the beginning of much trouble for Jews and Christians in and around the Holy Land)
And something else too.... If I apply the prophetic year to solar year conversion, the math works out like this:-
360 / 365.25 = 0.9856
0.9856 x 1335 = 1315.81 solar years
1948 - 1315.81 = AD 632
Again I checked this year in history. It only turns out that AD 632 is the year of Muhammed's death!
The date range 613 to 632 frames exactly the time of Muhammed's active preaching!
Does anybody else think this is somewhat amazing? Especially given the context of verse 12?
