Let's explore the rest of sura 8.41 to remove any confusion.
8.41
And know that out of all the booty that ye may acquire (in war), a fifth share is assigned to Allah,- and to the Messenger, and to near relatives, orphans, the needy, and the wayfarer,- if ye do believe in Allah and in the revelation We sent down to Our servant on the Day of Testing,- the Day of the meeting of the two forces. For Allah hath power over all things. Of course Mohammed's "Allah" never showed up to collect his portion of Mohammed's 1/5 share of the property stolen from others, so Allah's share was spent on swords so Mohammed could continue to terrorize and torment the Jews, the Quraysh, and any other non-muslims that rejected Mohammed's stand-alone, 7th century, religious invention.
http://islamchristianforum.com/index.php?topic=856.0Muslims are quick to point out that part of the stolen property was to be offered to "relatives, orphans, the needy, and the wayfarer" but that is the way that criminal bosses, have traditionally bought the favor of that portion of their community, that is immoral enough to accept ill gotten gains derived from property that was stolen from others.
Take mob boss "teflon"
Don Gotti, for example. He used to throw money around the neighborhood, and the folks in the burrows that were immoral or reprobate enough to accept it, really liked the guy. This, of course, in spite of the fact that they knew full well that he was a murdering thief. Just like those that accepted the ill gotten gains that were offered by Mohammed, who was also a murdering thief.
Ishaq:465 "
When their wrists were bound with cords, the Apostle was a sea of generosity to us."
Old covenant or new,
stealing from others is of Satan, and definitely
not of God.
Exodus 20:15
Thou shalt not steal. Is there anything ambiguous about that commandment?
