THE BIG LIE - "Separation of Church and State"
« on: April 06, 2010, 08:30:56 AM »
THE BIG LIE

Nowhere in Article 1 is there any provision for a "separation of Church and State". The "establishment clause", Article 1 was intended to prevent the Federal government from establishing a single "State Church" such as the Church of England, while at the same time guaranteeing the free exercise of religion.  While it prohibits the Federal government from establishing a State Church, individual states were free to establish their own state churches and several did, until it became apparent to those that did, that taxing citizens to support a religious institution they did not belong to, was wrong and unChristian.

Will prayer before every session of Congress and even at our local Commission meetings be ended?  The interdenominational prayer that opened the first congress was over 3 hours long.  Twenty-six of the members of our original congress were graduates of seminary schools.  Our forefathers knew, and stated repeatedly, that the form of government they were establishing could never survive without firm roots in God's laws, and His ultimate judgment.  The only books required in our early schools were the Bible and a hymnal.

".....He that ruleth over men [must be] just, ruling in the fear of God." 2 Samuel 23:3.

Will the few, that are hostile to the vast majority's free exercise of religion, continue to prevail in our God-hostile liberal courts? When I say few I mean very few. According to the CIA World Factbook only 4% of the U.S. has no belief in God.
Protestant 51.3%, Roman Catholic 23.9%, Mormon 1.7%, other Christian 1.6%, Jewish 1.7%, Buddhist 0.7%, Muslim 0.6%, other or unspecified 2.5%, unaffiliated 12.1%, none 4% (2007 est.)

"The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse is that you cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal," "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery" and "Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians - it creates a hostile work environment." - anonymous email

So firmly rooted in God was the foundation of our once-great Republic, that suggestion of any "separation of church and state" had only been brought before the Supreme Court on 2 occasions in the prior 150 years before Everson, in 1947.

THOMAS JEFFERSON DANBURY LETTER

"There is probably no other instance in America's history where words spoken by a single individual in a private letter-words clearly divorced from their context-have become the sole authorization for a national policy." - David Barton (Reference to Jefferson's Danbury letter and the so-called "separation of church and state")

Where the historical revisionists, aristocratic activist liberal judges and media pundits began to be so misguided regarding the ridiculous notion of any "separation of church and State" is from the Everson case in 1947 which used a metaphor contained in the Danbury letter written by Thomas Jefferson.

Ironically, "The Congressional Records from June 7 to September 25, 1789, record the months of discussions and debates of the ninety Founding Fathers who framed the First Amendment. Significantly, not only was Thomas Jefferson not one of those ninety who framed the First Amendment, but also, during those debates not one of those ninety Framers ever mentioned the phrase "separation of church and state." It seems logical that if this had been the intent for the First Amendment-as is so frequently asserted-then at least one of those ninety who framed the Amendment would have mentioned that phrase; none did." (Original Intent p. 48)

However, "So clearly did Jefferson understand the Source of America's inalienable rights that he even doubted whether America could survive if we ever lost that knowledge. He queried:  And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure if we have lost the only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath?" - Thomas Jefferson ('Original Intent' p. 46)

To learn more about the founding of our nation, not from liberal liars, but in the words of the founders themselves, from original source material, order a copy of David Barton's "Original Intent" from Wall Builders.

While spewing anti-semetic venom Hitler did make some good points regarding the development to eventual believability of "the big lie".

Hitler On The Big Lie

All this was inspired by the principle - which is quite true in itself - that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. These people know only too well how to use falsehood for the basest purposes.

Will the same anti-God crowd now have the religious inscription chiseled off of our national monuments? This from an anonymous email

"As you walk up the steps to the Capitol Building which houses the Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view - it is Moses and the Ten Commandments!

As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door. As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall right above where the Supreme Court judges sit a display of the Ten Commandments!

There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C.

James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement "We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."

Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said, "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ".

Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777.

Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the colonies.

Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law....an oligarchy....the rule of few over many.

The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said, "Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers."

How then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 200 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional?

On the aluminum cap atop the WashingtonMonument in WashingtonDC are two words: Laus Deo. No one can see these words. In fact ... most visitors to the monument have no idea they are even there and ... for that matter ... probably could care less! But there they are ... 555 feet, 5.125 inches high ... perched atop the monument to the father of our nation ... overlooking the 69 square miles which comprise the District of Columbia ... capital of the United States of America. Laus Deo! Two seemingly insignificant, unnoticed words ... out of sight and, one might think, out of mind ... but very meaningfully placed at the highest point over what is the most powerful city in the world. And what might those two words ... comprised of just four syllables and only seven letters ... mean? Very simply ... "Praise be to God!

Though construction of this giant obelisk began in 1848 when James Polk was President of the United States, it was not until 1888 that the monument was inaugurated and opened to the public. It took twenty five years to finally cap the memorial with the tribute Laus Deo! Praise be to God! From atop this magnificent granite and marble structure ... a visitor can take in the beautiful panoramic view of the city with its division into four major segments. And from that vantage point one can also easily see the original plan of the designer, Pierre Charles l'Enfant ... a perfect cross imposed upon the landscape ... with the White House to the north ... the Jefferson Memorial to the south ... the Capitol to the east ... and the Lincoln Memorial to the west. A cross ... you say? How interesting! And ... no doubt ... intended to carry a meaning for those who bother to notice. Praise be to God!

Within the monument itself are 898 steps and 50 landings. As one climbs the steps and pauses at the landings the memorial stones share a message. On the 12th Landing is a prayer offered by the City of Baltimore; on the 20th is a memorial presented by some Chinese Christians; on the 24th a presentation made by Sunday School children from New York and Philadelphia quoting Proverbs 10:7, Luke 18:16 and Proverbs 22:6. Praise be to God! When the cornerstone of the Washington Monument was laid on July 4th, 1848 deposited within it were many items including the Holy Bible presented by the Bible Society. Praise be to God! Such was the discipline, the moral direction, the spiritual mood given by the founder and first President of our unique democracy ... "one nation, under God."

I am awed by Washington's prayer for America. Have you never read it? Well now is your opportunity ... read on! "Almighty God; We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection; that Thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government; and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow citizens of the United states at large." "And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." Laus Deo!

As you might have guessed ... I kind of like the idea that our Pledge of Allegiance includes the phrase "under God." It is clear when one studies the history of our great nation that Washington's America was one of the few countries in all the world established under the guidance, direction and banner of Almighty God, to whom was given all praise, honor and worship by the great men who formed and fashioned her pivotal foundations. And ... when one stops to observe the inscriptions found in public places all over our nation's capitol ... one will easily find the signature of God. We are a nation under God!!! Laus Deo!!! Praise be to God!!!"

"Unless the Lord builds the house its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. (Psalm 127: 1)"

I think the greatest tragedy is that self-proclaimed Christians are beginning to regurgitate this Big Lie. If you were to watch the documentary "Jesus Camp", setting aside the theological implications for a moment, you would see a radio host claim to be Christian, "born and raised", if memory serves, also turn around in almost the same breath and propogate this Big Lie.

There are also no shortage of other Christians on other forums and sites who not only buy into this idea of "seperation of church and state" but defend it whole-heartedly. It could be that these individuals have not totally warmed over to the notion that every idea or thought, including those of government, is to be brought under the obediance of Christ.

2Cr 10:4   (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

2Cr 10:5   Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Doth that man love his Lord who would be willing to see Jesus wearing a crown of thorns, while for himself he craves a chaplet of laurel? Shall Jesus ascend to his throne by the cross, and do we expect to be carried there on the shoulders of applauding crowds? Charles H. Spurgeon

In the years before 1776, King George III of England recognized the true power of the colonies lay in the strength of the congregational churches and their ministers.  As these ministers began to be more and more vocal about the power of England supressing their God given rights, King George III devised a plan whereby he sent hundreds of ministers from the Church of England to replace the ministers in the colony churches.  The purpose behind this was for these Church of England ministers to not only bring the Church of England to the colonies, but for these Church of England ministers to preach what King George III wanted them to preach, namely toe the line to English laws enacted without the colonies sayso.  (Does this sound familiar with Obamacare being enacted against the majority will of the people!)

This is why the very first Amendment to the Constitution was added. It protects us from what England tried to do prior to 1776.  But look at how the true meaning of the 1st Amendment has been perverted to prevent the free exercise of religion, and to prevent free religious speech.  This has come about by reversing the true meaning of the 1st Amendment, and by reversing the real meanings of "tolerant" and "intolerant."  We who speak freely and openly of our Christian truths and values are somehow being "intolerant" of the beliefs and values of others.  Instead of being "tolerant" of different viewpoints and letting the hearers decide what they want to adhere to, those who do not want Christian truths and values being expressed anywhere in public or in government are "intolerant" of our 1st Amentment rights.  The intolerant have coined the mantra "separation of church and state" to put teeth into their intolerance of the free speech exercise of others with whom they disagree.

Interestingly, the phrase "separation of church and state" is found in another constitution - the 1936 Constitution of the USSR, Chapter X, Article 124, which reads:

"In order to ensure to citizens freedom of conscience, the church in the U.S.S.R. is separated from the state, and the school from the church.  Freedom of religious worship and freedom of antireligious propaganda is recognized for all citizens.

It seems we are now adhering more to the collapsed USSR constitution than to our own.  God help us stop this madness before we too collapse.

Blessings

Kindness and love expressed by those that follow Jesus Christ is as hot coals heaped on the heads of the lost, and particularly the willful unregenerate.

Rom 12:20   Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

From an email I received

An update from  Oklahoma :

Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9, had a few liberals in the mix, an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol.  The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake.  Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values...!   HB 1330

Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen.  They all scattered.  HB 1804.  Hope we didn't send any of them to your state.  This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said  it would be a mistake.

Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Recently we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegal's to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes.  Pelosi said it was unconstitutional   SB 1102

Guess what........ Oklahoma  did it anyway.

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring   Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives.  Joining  Texas , Montana  and Utah  as the only states to do so.

More states are likely to follow:   Louisiana, Alabama ,  Georgia , the Carolina 's,  Tennessee , Kentucky , Missouri , Arkansas , West Virginia , Mississippi ,  Florida .  Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again.  HJR 1003

The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns.  Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles.  I'm sure that was a set back for the criminals.  The Liberals didn't like it --  But ....

Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Just this month, the state has voted and passed a law that ALL driver's license exams will be printed in English, and only English, and no other language.  They have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of the road signs are in English only.  If you want to drive in Oklahoma , you must read and write English.  Really simple.

By the way, the Liberals don't like any of this either.

Guess what...who cares... Oklahoma is doing it anyway.

Jesus' name ruled 'unconstitutional'
Judge says prayers to Christ 'do violence to America's pluralistic, inclusive values'

http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=361461

A board of county commissioners in North Carolina is asking the Supreme Court for help: Its members don't believe they should have to forbid volunteers from mentioning the name of Jesus in prayers offered before their meetings.

But the American Civil Liberties Union and Americans United for Separation of Church and State are standing by their victory in a U.S. circuit court decision that states even "a solitary reference to Jesus Christ" in invocations before the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners' meetings could do "violence to the pluralistic and inclusive values that are a defining feature of American public life."

Genesis 47:13-27

RECENT VIRGINIA CHURCH SERVICE - STIMULUS SERMON

    Genesis 47:13-27

I would love to give the Pastor of this predominantly black church in  Virginia a hug and a high-five.  This guy is obviously a leader.

Perhaps we should each decide who our real leader is...  It is amazing to see that very little has changed in 4,000 years.

    ---------------------------------------------------

Good morning, brothers and sisters; it's always a delight to see the pews crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into God's Word.  Turn with me in your Bibles, if you will to the 47th chapter of Genesis, we'll begin our reading at verse 13, and go through verse 27.

Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us? .....(reading)

Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray.  So we see that economic hard times fell upon  Egypt , and the people turned to the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them.  And Pharaoh nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grain in great storehouses that he had built.  So the people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a great tax increase, and gave it all to him willingly in return for grain.  And this went on until their money ran out, and they were hungry again.

So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their livestock - their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkey - to barter for grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through the end of that year.

But the famine wasn't over, was it?  So the next year, the people came before Pharaoh and admitted they had nothing left, except their land and their own lives. "There is nothing left in the sight of my lord but our bodies and our land.  Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land?  Buy us and our land for food, and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh."  So they surrendered their homes, their land, and their real estate to Pharaoh's government, and then sold themselves into slavery to him, in return for grain.

What can we learn from this, brothers and sisters?

That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider in hard times only leads to slavery?  Yes...  That the only reason government wants to be our provider is to also become our master?  Yes...

But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters!  Thus  Israel settled in the  land of  Egypt , in the  land of  Goshen.  And they gained possessions in it, and were fruitful and multiplied greatly."  God provided for His people, just as He always has!  They didn't end up giving all their possessions to government, no, it says they gained possessions!  But I also tell you a great truth today, and an ominous one.

We see the same thing happening today - the government today wants to "share the wealth" once again, to take it from us and redistribute it back to us.  It wants to take control of healthcare, just as it has taken control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and what kind.  And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years ago - as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders.

What Mr. Obama's government is doing now is no different from what Pharaoh's government did then, and it will end the same.  And a lot of people like to call Mr. Obama a "Messiah," don't they?  Is he a Messiah?  A savior?  Didn't the Egyptians say, after Pharaoh made them his slaves, "You have saved our lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh?"  Well, I tell you this - I know the Messiah; the Messiah is a friend of mine; and MR. OBAMA IS NO MESSIAH!  No, brothers and sisters, if Mr. Obama is a character from the Bible, then he is Pharaoh.  Bow with me in prayer, if you will...

"Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone.  We confess that the government is not our deliverer, and never rightly will be. We read in the eighth chapter of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people of what a ruler would do, where it says "And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will not answer you in that day.

And Lord, we acknowledge that day has come.  We cry out to you because of the ruler that we have chosen for ourselves as a nation.  Lord, we pray for this nation.  We pray for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who would be our masters.  Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and protect Your people from the atrocities of Pharaoh's government. "
