Some thoughts on Bart D. Ehrman
« on: March 12, 2011, 11:41:03 PM »
I would like to here some feedback from the group here, as I personally found a lot of Bart D. Ehrman's comments quite disturbing and misleading and making pro-muslim claims against Christianity. Is this man a closet Muslim? Or is it clearly a spirit of Lucifer that speaks threw this man to humiliate Christianity?, and to deceive as many as he can to go against the teachings of Jesus Christ! Can you classify this man as a bonafide hypocrite? The trash that he spews against christianity would make Deedat and other so called muslim apologists alter boy's in his comparison.

According to Wikipedia he is an agnostic so of course Muslims seize on, and like to quote his stuff.

Stick - Ehrman - in the forum search box in the upper right. They seek out atheist and agnostic liars claimed by Satan, that put their effort into MISunderstanding, and trying to tear down the Word of God, because they believe that somehow that will make Muhammad's religion more true. I guess they never stop to think "Gee, I wonder why it took 1900 years for someone to come up with this?"
They don't understand, that he can't understand, what he is doing anyway.

1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

Let alone having to believe that 1/4 of mankind is steeped in a religion that is the EXACT OPPOSITE of the Gospel, 1.5 billion antichrists in the world, as having to be some sort of freaky coincidence.
We've got a pretty good thread started on textual criticism, but most of them wouldn't spend 2 seconds in an effort to seek out the truth.

If they did they would run out of Muhammad's religion purely on the basis of it's own "merit".

Ehrman is a con artist of the highest order. He teaches at a University here in my home state so I hear about him alot. His work is misleading and he has had an axe to grind with Christianity for a while. I will post some stuff on him a little later but in the mean time you will see muslims quote him a lot because he is an "expert" who questions the Bible. His work however is totally against the current of most NT scholarship and has been shown to be purposely misleading.
Doth that man love his Lord who would be willing to see Jesus wearing a crown of thorns, while for himself he craves a chaplet of laurel? Shall Jesus ascend to his throne by the cross, and do we expect to be carried there on the shoulders of applauding crowds? Charles H. Spurgeon

I have to be truthfull as I don't know all his material well, I basically am doing a "crash course" on this guy. He definately has a real beef with Christianity, yet like unlike Mohamed does believe in Christ from excerpt's that I read by Keith Thompson.

"However, Bart Ehrman does not share this radical belief. In fact Bart Ehrman defends Apostle Paul as an early reliable source of information for the life of Jesus. Ehrman contends that, based on the evidence, the Apostle Paul knew the original disciples of Jesus and became one of them.

In a radio interview the Infidel Guy challenged the notion that Jesus even existed and claimed that there is no real evidence for him existing. Ehrman, confused at the assertion because virtually no scholars hold this view, corrects the deceived radio host. They then debate and Ehrman states the following:

We have one author who actually knew Jesus’ relatives and knew his disciples… Paul…. It’s not an embellishment that Paul met with James in Jerusalem.(3) "

Confusing to say the least, is it not? does he also operate with a Napoleon strategy to "divide and conquer", to subliminaly misguide Christians from Christ. The Impression I got from reading some of his documents and his live videos, is that this man is anything but a Christian supporter.

Peter, you it  the nail on the head again buddy, scary is it not, you are also aware that these people will dominate towards the end of revelation, before Christ will neutralize them, and revelations speaks of horrible attrocities they will cause, to followers of Christ and especially one would think to real apostates at that time that get a real awakening as to who is the true king of kings!
