Black Stone Veneration at the Kaaba in Mecca

When I ask Muhammad's followers why they prostrate themselves toward the very same black stone idol that the Quraish pagans venerated, they will usually dodge the question, by setting up a straw man argument that they don't worship the black stone. I would submit that the Quraish pagans didn't worship the black stone either. The Quraish venerated their black stone idol as representing "Allah", who they considered to be the most powerful of all of the deities they worshiped. The Kaaba's black stone is certainly not the only stone, or even meteorite, to be venerated in mankind's history.

The Quraish's expression "Allah Akbar" meant that their deity "Allah" was the greatEST of all of the pagan deities they worshiped, which included the gods of the moon, sun, stars, planets, wind, and even Asaf and Naelah the most venerated priest and priestess of Arabian jinn-demon worship, whose idols occupied the hills of Al-Safa and Al-Marwah, between which the pagans ran back and forth 7 times. Even some of Muhammad's closest followers disliked to perform the Sa'ee because they knew it was a pagan ritual.

Narrated 'Asim: I asked Anas bin Malik: "Did you use to dislike to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa?" He said, "Yes, as it was of the ceremonies of the days of the Pre-lslamic period of ignorance, till Allah revealed: 'Verily! (The two mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwa are among the symbols of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who performs the pilgrimage to the Ka'ba, or performs 'Umra, to perform Tawaf between them.' " (2.158) (Sahih al-Bukhari 2 Book 26 710)

Muhammad's own father's name was "Abdullah" - which meant "slave of Allah" - long before Muhammad ever started his religion. The name of the God of the Bible is found in the tetragrammaton "YHWH", that occurs nearly 7,000 times in scripture, generally pronounced "Yahweh" (Google it). So then who exactly was the Quraish's "Allah" that Muhammad's father was a slave of? Why not ask your Imam which of the Quraish's deities, the black stone that you venerate, represented?

That Muhammad's followers VENERATE the Quraish's black stone idol cannot be honestly denied. Let's look at the term.

venerate
1: to regard with reverential respect or with admiring deference
2: to honor (as an icon or a relic) with a ritual act of devotion

To Muhammad's followers, might it be time to invest a little effort into honestly investigating the origins of Muhammad's religion, and the history of Mecca?
