After searching this site some I can't find seem to find what the consensus is who the "he" is ....
I understand the "he" as Christ....I'm primarily historicist in general.
I'm assuming most on this site feel the same on this but wanted to find out
As a
historicist you are a bit more in the same gear as most of the Christian respondents in this forum, at least in regard to already having a continuous-historic or linear-historic view, for both Old and New Testament prophecy (as opposed to futurist, preterist or idealist).
I would, however, recommend that you read "The False Prophet" for one view as to how the day-year language of prophecy may be applied to the book of Revelation. It's absolutely free, and fun to read. Brother Skolfield has been writing about the central role of Islam in end-time prophecy for over 30 years.
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/contents_tfp.htmA summary of some of the day-year problems is presented here
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/mathematical_precision_of_prophecy.htmAfter reviewing that summary a link is offered to Daniel's 70 weeks further down the page, but I highly recommend that you don't begin there, as this is a brick by brick empirical argument, to which Daniel's 70 weeks is best understood in conclusion.
