Hello Eric, and welcome to the forum brother!
I am a Jew who believes that Jesus/Yeshua Christ is my messiah, redeemer, savoir, Lord as described in the OT/NT.
I have been reading your web sight over the past months and have some specific questions.
Do I agree with it…still rebounding from shock, taught the futuristic version and just years ago finally threw out the “pre-trib rapture†teaching.
Without the pre-trib rapture it makes it a pretty tough sell. But the main thing working against Darby's eschatology is the Gospel. It simply cannot be reconciled with it. I repeatedly challenged Christians in the eschatology section of the CARM forum but not one even attempted to reconcile it.
I had abandoned Christian forums a few years ago, after spending a couple years trying and testing this traditional historicist context, and my focus gradually moved toward helping Muslims. I was initially attracted to a thread in the Islam section that I wanted to chat in. I wasn't sure what I was doing over some months in the eschatology section and preterism section. After distilling the main arguments I realized the time spent was to fuel another website to speak specifically to Christians regarding Eschatology. I had been reluctant to write much about it on sites that Muslims would frequent. Seems the address christianeschatology.com was kept in reserve for me.
Here is what I was asking at CARM
http://www.christianeschatology.com/futurism_dispensationalism.htm#futurism_vs_the_gospelHere's the actual thread: I am still on the border but leaning towards your revelations ........
It is brother Ellis Scofield that introduced me to this TRADITIONAL context. I have simply been studying scripture with his teaching as a basis within it. Much of it through discussion with others that drove me deeper into study, like for the Olivet Discourse that he doesn't much cover.
It is no "revelation" that Isaac Newton or Matthew Henry or any of those great men of God of the Reformation wouldn't have had if they were alive in these days.
This link is the most important for you to understand this is traditional, rather than a pop-modern approach like futurism and preterism.
http://www.christianeschatology.com/historicism.htm...... of the word, make sense and blends with scripture but….
I am not sure about the symbolism instead of literal but I am open to correction.
Unless we are to expect a literal 7-headed 10 horned beast that is a composite of a lion, bear, and leopard, then we have to recognize that prophetic dreams and visions in prophecy are revealed in figurative language.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nspBMGBp7mM as I search and pray that the "pure real truth" be revealed to my heart and mind as all of us want to stand befor our Lord & Savoir as faithful servants. It is a humbling and intense experience just coming from a Jewish backround and the revelation of Jeus Christ let alone the flavours of prophecy teachings out their.Thank you for your service and web site.
1-time of the gentiles was over in 1967,where are we then on the prophetic time line ?
We are in what Daniel's prophecy calls the "time of the end".
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/mathematical_precision_of_prophecy.htmWhat Luke referred to in the Olivet Discourse as the end of the "times of the Gentiles in Jerusalem".
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/matthew_24_olivet_discourse.htm#times_gentilesWhat John refers to as Gentiles treading under foot:
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/mathematical_precision_of_prophecy.htm#court_without2-Daniel speaks of the final days before messiah returns?
If this is the last generation from 1967, how long in years is that final generation…40/70/80 or???
The Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24) says the generation "shall not pass". That could indicate that Christ will return before everyone born before 1967 has passed from the earth. Looks a lot more imminent than 40 or 50 years from now though! Obama just sold 20 F-16s to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
http://www.christianeschatology.com/partial_preterism.htm#matthew_24_343-If the next event is the 7th trumpet how were the first 6 trumpets revealed? What about the seals & bowls?
It's important to understand that Revelation is repetitive, and just how and why it is repetitive. This is a bit heavy but a real blessing to learn.

http://www.islamchristianforum.com/index.php?topic=2655.0If you haven't read The False Prophet, you need to do that before anything else. It is a fun read that puts this all into an orderly brick by brick empirical argument. This is what started it all for me:
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/contents_tfp.htm4-There are some very powerful dramatic events described and I can not find any confirmation that it has already happened or at least no one has explained it to me yet.
What is a present & future prophetic summary of the days ahead for the believers and America ?
I am in the Isaac Newton and Matthew Henry camp on using (abusing) prophecy as if it were meant for us to be able to predict the future. One of those bad habits I had to break as a former futurist since, without predicting the future, there is nothing left to do with Darby's doctrine.
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/traditional_framework.htm#fulfilled_prophecy5-the teachings for the 1000 years (pre/post/after) Rev 20.It reads to be literal but others believe it as symbolic and we are in that time now.It is today 2013 AD and it says 1000 years. How can that be ?
Is 1000 years a codeword in prophecy or literal number ?
If it means completion of a age,why did God then use he number 1000 instead of another number or no number at all but just say a long time ?
There is a Koine Greek term for specifically one thousand, and another that can mean one, or many thousands. The term used in the figurative language of the subject passage is the latter. You can start here:
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/the_millennial_reign.htmIs the first resurrection a future event or tied to John 5;24-25 in the present ?
First, Jesus IS THE resurrection.
Jhn 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
What then is meant by 2Thes 4:15-16 ?
http://www.beholdthebeast.com/great_tribulation.htm#pre_trib_raptureIs not John 5 speaking of spiritual regeneration and 2Thes about the new glorified body like Jesus has ?
Is this just spiritualized because scripture says we are raised to new life in Him as we are united by faith in His death and resurrection ?
Are their not prophecy concerning the future millenium in the OT ? Isaiah/Zecharia
OK...alot of questions because of exposure to this from a futuristict backround, thanks for your replies.
I have to step out. I'll be back to embellish further in a couple hours. Best to begin by reading The False Prophet:
